Friends, Sorry but we have had to cancel our gig for this Friday at the Pflugerville Pfood Ranch due to non-payment from a previous gig there. It's very disappointing that we have to do this but despite numerous efforts to resolve this issue over the past 3 1/2 weeks with Starcopark (the parks management) we have little choice. To our musician brethren "caveat emptor". Thanks friends, see you at Juniors next Saturday!!
Wanted to pass along a big thanks to staff and crew at Texas Bar & Grill. You guys are great! We had an awesome time playing and look forward to our next gig with you.
Thanks to everyone who came out to see us last night. Made some new fans and was nice to see some familiar face come back to see us. Also a special thanks to Leslie for sitting in with is, you got some serious pipes! Hope to see you guys this Saturday at Manor Fest. We're supposed to go on at 2:30 but you know how these festivals go. I'll keep you posted if anything changes.
Remember when there were like 5 styles of music. Then as each style progressed it branched out like a tree. What used to be Rock has morphed into countless sub-genres. Hard rock, classic rock, southern rock, metal, thrash, speed metal, doom, death, etc. Same goes with Country, Soul, Jazz, and just about every other style. As each generation has taken the previous one and injected their own style and passion into it we are constantly changing the musical landscape. But as constant as change is there will always be a movement back towards the roots of each genre of music. We hear it time and again from artist who revert back to the past to revitalize a sound, or movement in music. I think that's the great thing about music. We will always be looking out the front window to see where we can take our styles and sounds but we never stray far from the rear view, from what originally got us turned on in the first place. Sometimes the greatest thing about travel is the journey home.
