The Heidi Zettl Band's performance at the Parade of Lights in Fort Worth was fantastic. We thank the Ft. Worth Rotary for inviting us. The Sundance Square area was set for the holidays. We thank all of our friends and fans that come out to see the show. We jazzed up some traditional songs and rocked the house with others. Heidi performed her original Christmas song that was so beautiful, everyone loved it. It was a perfect evening with a chill in the air and happy people everywhere!
I am honored and humbled to report that I (Heidi Zettl) have won first place in the 2012 Texas Independent Music Expo Performing Songwriters Competition! The talent at this event was incredible. We are sad to say that we have canceled our performance at the Whitesboro Peanut Festival. The venue was not able to provide the sound system for the stage that they has scheduled us for. We are grateful to them for trying to make it work for us. They were very nice enough to grantee us a spot next year. (Thank you Lynda). We will see you next year!
My performance at Lovejoy High School for Leopard Friday was a lot of fun! . I am grateful to the Lovejoy Gifted Association for inviting me to perform. It was fun to have all my friends around me while I performed. Thank you also to all those parents who bought my CD's!
It was an honor to perform at the Texas State Fair on Tuesday for the 100th year anniversary of the Girl Scouts, October 9th. The show was at the beautiful Hall of State. The Girl Scout organization had wonderful displays throughout. Yavante' Mitchell, a DFW star, performed as well. She sang several of her original songs, which were rockin' fun! She has a really nice family too! I was the MC and introduced Yavante’, the sponsor “31 Gifts”, and played keyboard and sang a cover and an original, and shared with the audience about my Bronze award and how Girl Scouts changed my life and gave me the self-confidence to do what I do. I also led the audience in two Girl Scout sing-a-longs, which was a lot of fun. I invited Girl Scouts to join me on stage. Yavante’, the Girl Scouts, and I had everyone singing. Even the dads in the audience were singing "Black Socks"! I am grateful to the two Girl Scouts that helped me set up. We had a chance to talk and they asked me about my grades in school. They said "you mean you do all this music AND keep you grades up?” I said "Yes, grades are important." We had a great time and I am grateful to Celes Bedford for inviting me and IROC for recommending me to MC and perform at this wonderful event.
