Happy 2010 January Updates

Thanks to all my friends & fans in 2009! Current mood: cheerful Category: Music So as I look forward to the New Year, I just wanted to thank everyone who showed their love and support for my EP Chilly Allston this year. The Podcast dj's and college radio stations who played it. The blogs and magazines who gave it such nice reviews, and the fans who purchased downloads and waited in line for CDs at shows. You make it all worth while, and I love each and every one of you. And to all of you who made all the awards, flim, tv, and compilation placements possible, you know who you are, an extra big thank you.

The song CHILLY ALLSTON has won 5 songwriting awards: John Lennon Songwriting Award, an Independent Singer Songwriter Award, an Indie International Music Award, an International Songwriting Contest Award and a 100% Music Songwriting Award. It was featured in the movie trailer for Sundance/Peace Arch film Mysteries of Pittsburgh and it's instrumental version is licensed to HBO. Its # 1 on the indie-music.com pop charts this week. It was included on this year's MUSIC SUPERVISORS GUILD CD compilation for the Hollywood Music & Film conference & awards.

The song HEAVY HEAVY HEART from the EP won a Star Music Award for Best Pop Artist, 1st and 2nd place cash prizes on the Broadjam.com, and is included on the DISCover Disc Makers Regional Compilation CD 2009.

The song ANY WONDER from the EP is on an compilation called BAD GIRLS DON'T CRY with noted female vocalists Any Winehouse and Duffy on AUR Records distributed in Poland and Korea.

Dashing through the snow......

So we woke up on the first day of our tour to a blizzard, and our NYC show was canceled due to the weather, so we decided to head towards Buffalo for our next show in Cincinatti. It took us all day (8 hrs) to drive what normally took 3 hrs because of the road conditions and we finally had to get off the highway in Albany and find a hotel room. We ended up at the DESMOND hotel, and waited until the storm cleared. The next morning was really freezing as we headed out on our 13 hr drive towards Cincinnati. We made it to the show an hour late, but we still got to play, made some new fans, and the club still paid us & gave us free pizza and beer for the rest of the night so we left happy. We have no gig tonight so we're spending the day catching up on some sleep and heading to Nashville for the NACA (college talent buyers) convention.

more when we get there!!
