Parade of Horribles / Blog

Thursday, May 19th at The Tower Bar. We set sail on a sea of misguided metaphors. Come christen our musical-life-boats as we kickoff our ONE WEAK TOUR.

Badabing, Dead On The Wire, and Ash Williams will be cooking up some serious sound bites as well.

Don't miss this show. If we all play our cards right one of our sets might even sound COHESIVE!

New Website - www.pohmusic.com

Hey! Jason's an IT guy so he's been clinging to antiquated ideas like "every band should have an actively maintained website" for over a decade.

Well, since you spend so much damn time on that fancy thumb computer we've revamped our website so it'll look nice and pretty on said arthritic-attention-deficit-inducer.

Check out www.pohmusic.com.

Look at it once... and never bring it up again.

Some Kind of Nightmare - CD Release/Tour Kick-off - This Saturday!

Our buds in Some Kind of Nightmare just finished their newest album! We're crazy ecstatic to be sharing the stage with them this Saturday, 3/23. Good Guys Tavern, Lemon Grove. This will be their CD Release and your last chance to catch 'em for a bit before they road-rage it across the U.S for an entire year! Come send them off with us!

Thanks for all the Weird

Many obligings (not a word) to Let’s Get Weird SD for inviting us to add soundwaves to their event last night. Thanks to Dead Frets, Circle Seven and Master Splinter and the Shredders for adding their specific syncopated frequency manipulations as well. Thanks for everyone for showing up, dancing, yelling, and hanging. We’re on merch patrol for the next few weeks as we gear up for our CD Release Party on Feb. 23rd at Pier View. See you soon!

Upcoming Shows and E.P. Info

There's a lot brewing in the Parade of Horribles camp, Chris and I have a lot to share with you over the next few weeks. Deep breath, here we go: Thurs. January 31st – Bar Eleven, San Diego We'll be finishing January strong with a show at Bar Eleven on Thursday the 31st. This place is an awesome little spot in Normal Heights, great place to catch a show, grab a beer and run into some friends from the La Escalera Records crew. We're looking froward to seeing our greater SD friends at this one and hope our North County buds can make the trek down is well. It will definitely be worth your while. We play at 9 PM and will be joined by Chris Hopkins and Animal Steel.

Fri. February 1st – Flying Elephant, Carlsbad Friday the 1st finds us back up in Carlsbad at the Flying Elephant Pub. We'll be joining our pals in Let's Get Weird for an art show. These guys showcase some of the most talented artists in the area. Come out and meet the artists and purchase a piece to decorate your home. Red Beard Leather will also be out with their beautiful handcrafted pieces. Joining us in the music department will be Dead Frets (featuring Jared of Sic Waiting), Circle Seven and Master Splinter & The Shredders. Show starts at 8 PM.

Wed. February 6th – Tin Can, San Diego Jump to the following week and we're back down in San Diego playing downtown at The Tin Can. Playing with The Junk Poets. Showtime at 9 PM.

Sat. February 23rd – Pier View Pub, Oceanside All of these great shows will culminate in an explosive succession of moments on Feb. 23rd when we release our first E.P. entitled “Pretty Little.” We've been in and out of the studio since Christmas, working at Dead Records, to bring you this album. We're really proud of how it's turned out and can't wait to share it with you all. Our friends from the north (Costa Mesa, not Saskatchewan), Lowbrow, will be opening up the show. Closing the night is CPA, who will also be celebrating the release of their new full-length album Whimsy. Come out and grab some new local music for your collection.

...And exhale

We hope to see you at a show and hope that all is well with you and yours. Take Care.

Jason York Parade of Horribles.

Thanks for joining us at Punk Rock Food Drive!

Great time at Punk Rock Food Drive on Saturday. Thank you to everyone who came out to show their generosity, we're still waiting on food weight but we can tell by the number of bins that were filled or overflowing and by the amount of money raised that this was the most successful PRFD yet. Thank you so much for being a part of it. We will post solid numbers when they become available.

Thank you!

Thanks to all who came to the Flying Elephant tonight. We had a hell of a time. Our falling trees would make no sound without your ears. Next stop Pier View 9/21
