We've Got A New Look

No....it's not a new swimsuit or a fancy new instrument; although, that sounds totally amazing. It's a new look to our website. We did so in an effort to save time so that we can spend more time writing, singing, creating, painting and just doing the things I/we love.

So that said, CHECK IT OUT! Let us know what you think. Let us know what you'd like to see more of. Let us know where you are at and where you'd like to see us and we will try to make that happen.

Until next time.....Here's wishing you more joy in every sunrise, more peace in every sunset and more LOVE to get you through each and every day! Peace, Sandy

Music is poetry of the soul

January 16th after arriving home from a gig I fell in my music room. After many hours in the emergency room I found out that I had torn my Achilles Tendon. That diagnosis is definitely not something anyone wants to hear--much less a vocalist who spends most of her time on her feet performing on stages and hitting the pavement for the next venture. What did this mean for me? Cancelled gigs for two months (down about 18 gigs so far due to the accident.). I guess I have always taken my feet, legs and my general mobility for granted. I have had to slow down. Okay, yes....I could feel all down and out about it (which I did for a couple of days), but I am using the time to chart up new tunes, write a few originals, work on my artwork, write a few poems and plan out the ventures for the remainder of the year. Yes, I will be in a walking boot probably for at least 6 months with rigorous physical therapy, but I am not broken. My music and the love of my family, friends, and fans are keeping me going. It's the poetry of my soul. This past year I have learned many things that I'd like to share with you. 1) The "C" Word doesn't stand for Cancer it stands for courage. 2) When you think you can't take any more.....you still can take some more. 3) When you think you've got it bad....there is someone who has it worse than you. 4) And, just because you are a type-A personality, very independent, very "together" doesn't mean that you don't need someone to lend you a hand from time to time. They don't complain when you help them. In fact, most are very thankful and definitely appreciative. That said, I've learned that I can accept help and be very thankful and appreciate their help too! 5) I've also learned that 50 is just a number and not a death sentence.

Music with Good Intentions

This year more than ever before I feel I have a calling to share my gift. There is so much unrest and strife in the world and music is one way to lift the spirit of others and to bring a smile. Sometimes a smile is all it takes. That said, I am going to focus on music with uplifting positive lyrics--music with good intentions. The intention of bringing a sense of peace within my reach. Happy New Year! May your new year be filled with good health, happiness, joy, peace, love, and prosperity. Be respectful of others and share some love every chance you get!

Merry Christmas to you and yours

This time of the year always reminds me of how I have been blessed and why it is so important to give back. So many people are not as fortunate as I am to have a big family around them and an extended family of friends and fans. You all make such a tremendous difference in my life. It doesn't matter if we all agree on politics, on our favorite color, or whether or not beets are good for you. What does matter is that we do unto other as we would have done to our own self. That said...if you get the chance stop by a neighbors home that may be alone this holiday season and let them know that you are thinking of them and that you care. They will always remember your kindness.

Merry Christmas to you and yours and may you be blessed with peace and all that you love in the New Year. XOXOXOXO, Sandy
