"Creeper" Debuts New Release Posted on Mar 07, 2012 at 01:20 PM LOS ANGELES -- This month metal heads starving for their fix of authentic head-bangin madness will not be dissapointed, with the worldwide digital release of "Welcome To Room #9" by southern rockers Creeper. The group features Daniel "Danimal" Watkins on vocals, Jimi Fritz on guitar, Doug Wanderscheid on bass and Brian Gutowski on drums. Creeper joins a premium group of hard rock and heavy metal artists from the Dallas/Fort Worth area represented by DSN, such as Omen and World Beneath World. "Welcome to Room #9" was produced by industry veteran Tye Robison, who oversaw production on projects for artists such as Drowning Pool and Gravity Kills. Creeper, founded in 2009, has played live with many popular and diverse metal groups since its inception, such as Rigor Mortis, Lynch Mob, and Loudness. In 2010, the group produced its first demo "War Machine" which generated much excitment with local fans. Regarding the release of the new project on DSN, Creeper's Jim Fritz stated "it was beyond excitement, it inspired us to create what was to become " Welcome to Room #9" and we are violently excited to be a part of the DSN music family!" Creeper is currently touring the south in support of the new release. "The staff here at DSN is very excited about the upcoming Creeper release" said DSN's Scott Bergevin. These guys worked really hard on this album and did a great job. It's one of those albums destine to echo through the ages." "Welcome to Room #9" is scheduled for a release via DSN Music Tuesday March 13th, and will be available via online and mobile stores such as Amazon.com, iTunes, Rhapsody.com, Verizon, Spotify, iHeartRadio, eMusic.com and hundreds more worldwide
Creeper comes alive with a new EP called "War Machine". I have personally watched this band mold itself into a true contender on the local scene. This is Dallas, Texas metal at its best with a ton of oldschool flair. If you like King Diamond, Metal Church, Exodus, Judas Priest or Anthrax you will dig these guys. The EP starts out with "War Machine" a track that I could see in a game like Call of Duty or even Need For Speed, just balls out intense! The vocals are solid on this track with some high's that remind you of that oldschool sound that we all know and love. This track sets the pace and hold on mother fuckers it bites back! Second track has a bit of double entendre, its called "She cant take it no more". This track reminds me of that old Judas Priest sound. The vocals are right there with Halfords in many aspects. I could see this track being played loud in a strip club :) Thrid track is called "Timmy" and he is pissed off! This is a dark story of a boy who was teased and beat down who came back for revenge. This track has a King Diamond/Metal Church feel. I could see this being played at Thrillvania with my boys the crazy clowns!! Fourth track is "Screamin Demon" and is on the video you see below. The drummer has to have four legs to play the start of this track! My only bitch about the EP was it is not very full on the low end. I would love to hear this low end killing my subs right now. This track is back to that "Creeper crush" sound its driving and heavy at the same time. There is a solid solo in the mix too! I could see this song crushing the pit somewhere near you soon, I know there is some swivel necks jammin this tune somewhere right now. Solid EP from a true metal band ~ Chris Nite - 81XRocks.com
