Of Grey Shades...

If you missed the live webcast last Sunday on Live! In Your Living Room!, you missed a very special reunion between myself and Kyle Curley! It was a magical and nostalgic evening as Kyle and I plugged away at Shades of Grey favs and post-SOG doodles. It was very much a "live" atmosphere. We barely made it through a couple numbers due to the fact that we played completely impromptu and spontaneous songs for almost 2 hours straight! We sang, we played, we laughed! At times it was kind of eerie because a third voice could be heard, yet only two of us were on the stage! (It was my mother singing back-up off stage!) You can watch the performance in its entirety at www.nathanbradytunes.com/live

Live - Elevated

I grab the fader, turn on the lights, and....press play...kinda. I seduce the synth into a frenzy, then turn the reverb up. I find an instrument - a guitar, a piano, a whistle, whatever. Add to the frenzy, feel your soul shake a little. An alternate reality? A meditative state? Whatever, just ride it. Feel it take you to another plane. A plane that looks a lot like this one... The noise becomes a melody. The wave calms. The body is centered. Now I press play. I record, I perform, I sing, I smile, maybe a little eye contact. Enough to remind you I'm there. You groove, you move, you sing, you dance. I can't see you. The noise gets louder again. When did the song end? Where did it go? Where are we going? Which plane? The look the same! We're back. Back from where? From when? Wow! Deep, man! www.nathanbradytunes.com/live

Live! In Your Living Room!

I compare this pioneering adventure to the likes of "Wall-E," the major motion picture. If you had young children during the early-to-late 2000's, you'll understand. You see, in "Wall-E" the humans did eveything from the comforts of their own personal chair/scooter-thing. They gained hundreds of pounds, and that became the norm. The idea for "Live! In Your Living Room!" is very much the same - instead of having to drag your arses out of your comfortable chairs at home to go to a crowded (or in many cases, dead) bar to hear live music, you can now watch live, local and otherwise, streaming webcasts right in the comforts of your own home! This unique experience, for the audience and performer alike, offers a platform ever expandable! Hear and see everything from live performances to taking part of producing music in real time! Artists and fans are invited to contact me with any ideas at nathanbraytunes@gmail.com. My dream is to make this a platform for many artists to show off their talents! "The Greatest Treasure one civilization can leave to the next is knowledge through the expression of it's arts."

The wave (not the radio station)

Continuing to ride the wave of good planning, good fortune, and good luck! I played at Brothers Lounge in the Wine Bar 2 weeks in a row, and was well received both times. A very cool thing Brent Kirby has going there. He provides the opportunity for local singer/songerwiters to share the stage and share their music in a lovely wine bar atmosphere. I absolutely loved playing on that piano. I cannot wait to do it again!

To sing, play, laugh, love, and live.

Webcast - Web Blast!

MY very first live webcast was a success! I am so grateful to live in a time where not only can live music can be shared instantly, but accompanied by a live video stream! Back in the day we used to joke about wishing we could just invite everyone to the living room (where we practiced) and perform for them at home! Nowadays, not too far fetched! Thank you to all who tuned in. There will definately be more in the near future. The possibilities are endless, and it excites me! If you missed the live broadcast, don't fret. It's still replaying on www.nathanbradytunes.com/live. Once the next webcast airs, this one will be archived. Check out www.nathanbradytunes.com/videos for highlight clips!
