This Sista shows me mad love, and I wantd to share with you what was said.
Poetry is life to me...as life is poetry to rhythm. ..it is fluid...and movement...and expansion and rise...then climactic, then releasing, receding... relaxing. So a poet, to me, is but a life lyricist...a poetical puppeteer. ..a requem for a dream realized or deferred...a thought, deepest feeling that was suppresed or misunderstood..or..was heard. A poet is the collector of hearts, smiles and tears...one who makes methodical, meaningful, magical modals mingling with one's mind....thru the ears #eargasms This being said...I would like to present to u...a poet, author, performer, actor...locally grown. ..Chicago's own...a cool cat, a colleague and my friend...James Gordon. A prolific, young writer who has a multifaceted style of expression and presentations of art forms...and my friends, family and followers...he is an aspiring entrepreneur with his own brand...a b.o.b for u to support....and great craft to gift to one self and others...hey, maybe even me (wink, wink). Let's support our own...if we don't. ..who will. Paul Lawrence Dunbar wrote of being a caged bird...because he had no real audience with us in those times and the others only wanted a caricature of the craft...let's uphold ours...free the caged bird to soar! Your turn may be next! !

James Gordon’s ‘The Warmest Winter’ is an intricate murder mystery where no one is exactly who they seem to be. As befitting all great crime thrillers, there are more unexpected twists than in a barrel full of red herrings. These serve to maintain reader interest and create the marvellous atmosphere of constant tension present throughout. Yet what drives this novel forward are two masterful traits the author brings to the narrative. The first is the powerful prose that sets the tone in each scene and lends an enviable solidity to the events the writer conjures up. The second, a far more difficult proposition, is the courage to tell this complex tale in the first person. We, the readers, find out what has happened at the same time as the protagonist, and are equally led up false trails with him until the surprising climax is revealed. Our involvement with the protagonist though is not one of an ephemeral observer. Author Gordon places us in his skin, allows us to experience his own troubles as his marriage crumbles and his future prospects appear to disintegrate too. It makes the eyes through which we witness the mystery unravel a very human perspective which serves to colour our own appreciation of the trials and tribulations other characters experience.
If you are looking for a robust murder mystery with a down-to-earth flavour, this is the one for you. Highly recommended! One of my best reads this year!
It's everyone's fault that dating is difficult. Feminism is a culprit because besides seeking to elevate women, which is cool, it seems to want to emasculate men. Don't hold the door. Don't call me beautiful or the like. Don't!! Don't!! Don't!!! For a man that may be weak or want to be dominated , this is fine perhaps. But what about men of strength and stature, a take control type of guy. And the games women play? If you don't like a guy, don't even entertain any of it. But that's not what happens. Is it?
