1st Blog!

Hey everyone!

So it’s coming up to a year now since Single Thread first hit the internet with our unique style of Explosive rock. We've decided to start putting out a blog to keep everyone up to date with all the events we have going on.

Firstly we'd like to say a huge thank you for all the amazing support we've received since going live! We went from being completely unknown to the top of the Reverbnation charts in a really short period of time. It’s been fantastic seeing all the great comments and all the people checking out our material, following and liking us (over 15,000 followers across all platforms now)!!

2013 has had a great start for us already. We have recorded a live session for a radio show, received air play on college radio in America and picked up glowing reviews on a website dedicated to new and upcoming music.

We took part in the first Rock Monster event at Open in January and were really pleased to be part of such a great show, helping to build a better rock scene in our area. You can check out future Rock Monster events on Facebook and show some support here: https://www.facebook.com/RockMonsterNorwich

We also played at the first Epic Rock event at Epic TV in March (videos soon to follow hopefully...). We had a blast and met a lot of cool bands like Mastema, Signals and Saigon Kiss! Once again trying build up a good Rock scene in Norwich! Huge thanks to Epic for making it possible!

We played at The Waterfront in Norwich last weekend – so thanks to everyone who turned up, there was such a great crowd who showed amazing support and made the night a lot of fun for us. Amazing to see people singing along to our songs! We are always about after shows so come and talk to us after our set if you enjoyed what you heard; it’s always great to meet new people! Another big thanks to Wicked Faith, who put the show together and invited us along in the first place - you guys are great! Shout out to Shock Hazard and Skeleton Jack who also played with us and made the show a lot of fun.

Now all the thanks are out of the way let’s talk about what we have in store as the year continues!

Firstly we are currently back in the studio working on our new EP! A follow up to last year’s Dice EP, the ‘Pulled Deep EP’ will have a load of brand new tracks including some stuff we haven't even played live yet! Expect to see this released very soon accompanied with new videos and live recordings.

Recently we have also become the official after party band for the Norfolk Brawds roller derby team! Our first show for them will be on the 11th May in the ‘The Murderers’ pub - on Timber Hill in Norwich. The Brawds are an awesome bunch of ladies and if you don’t know anything about them or Roller Derby you can find out all about them at their website: http://www.norfolkbrawds.com/ I would suggest you check them out! We will be talking more about this in upcoming posts as the events draw nearer!

So to finish, keep an eye out for Single Threads’ second EP, don’t forget to visit our Facebook, Twitter and Reverbnation pages for free music, updates and gig listings!
