Just received a high compliment on my "Along the Way" album! (smile and giggle goes here) ... an unsolicited review randomly submitted by Roger Emrich who is the AT&T Stadium PA announcer with the Dallas Cowboys ... said this: "Listened to all songs .... thoroughly entertaining & fabulously produced! Your voice stands out as totally original and being a guitar aficionado, the playing on these songs is both fiery and tasty."

Easter Sunday service today made me think about this song "Rock of the World" ... which speaks of Peter's betrayal of Jesus. On this song, I not only wanted to portray the message lyrically, but musically speaking I was diggin' the drums, so as you can hear, they are upfront and center on this tune. (I told the drummer, "just go crazy" ... and I think he did just that!) P.S. I also wanted to try my hand at singing in a rock fashion ... so in my mind, I was hearing Joan Jet meeting ACDC ... (lol) ... can you hear it?!)
Here's an old George Jones remake that I'm sure you've all heard before! Covered by Linda Mckenzie and Sam Tomlinson, of the duo "Gypsy South", ... you can check out the duo' at: www.GypsySouthMusic.com

Hey, just got the final edits done on the house concert I did at Mother Maybelle Carter's old home place in Madison, Tennessee. What a feeling to be standing in the same room performing "Ring of Fire" where this song was originally written in!. This was the first (and last) house concert ever held at June Carter Cash's mother's home place. The home was sold a month after this show was recorded, and I felt as if mother Maybelle was somehow listening from above as I sang her songs in her own living room "Keep on the Sunny Side" and "Wildwood Flower". There was a pretty picture of her standing in front of the same fireplace I was standing in front of, she with her autoharp and me with my guitar ... playing her songs. A piece of American musical history was made in this room. Check out the video here ... https://www.reverbnation.com/artist/video/13887133
I put this video together today on a song I sang 20 years ago, written by Texas Songwriter, Troy McConnell ...I normally don't sing other people's songs, but this one moved me so that I wanted people to hear its message .. its a lovely song called "What Color Am I" ... please take a listen on this Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, but really for any day in the life of human being. (Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.) http://youtu.be/ykrKvRLyhvc
