This song had been floating around my head since my daughter was born. She swiftly got the 'hiccups' so I used sing the chorus to her.
Occasionally she'd hiccup in time.
I finally got round to finishing the song and have uploaded a couple of the verses and chorus here.
Before you hit play I'd better warn you... it's very catchy
I've been having another look at 'Et Sans Toi' recently. Just a few subtle changes of lyric etc... Here's an mp3 of how the song is developing. I 'm aware there's still a bit of work to do on pronunciation, but it's coming along fine.
Best known for his 5 year stint as keyboardist with the Kinks, Mark's first 'lucky break' came when invited to record and tour with the legendary Billy Fury which opened the door to a succession of opportunities with many established artists. His live gig resumé includes touring with The Tornados, Bert Weedon, Eden Kane, PJ Proby, Denny Laine, Stars On 45 and, most notably, on the Monkees hugely successful reunion tours. Hank Marvin of the Shadows recorded Mark's song 'Don't Answer' which had the rare distinction of Hank singing on the track. When the new Rubettes line up of Alan, John and Mick took shape at the beginning of the Millennium, a singing keyboard player was also needed and Mark proved to be the ideal candidate. Apart from the guys one reservation of him being "too damned good looking" he got the job as he had a wealth of experience. Through all this Mark has regularly performed duo gigs with his brother Lawrie, occasionally sits in with the 'Kast Off Kinks' and his recent recordings can be found at www.reverbnation.com/markjhaley
