Sweet Bullets / Blog

New tracks launched

I Was Born To Cry, our lead track from the now legendary Soup Studio recordings, hits an internet near you ... Whole host of gigs coming up, at the Montague Arms (New Cross), 12 Bar (Holloway Road) and Hope and Anchor (Islington).

New tracks on the way

Just finished mixing four songs at Soup Studios - I Was Born To Cry, Paris, Dance With Me and Sugar Cane. Plenty of gigs coming up, too, at the Montague Arms in New Cross, 12 Bar Club on Holloway Road and Hope and Anchor in Islington.

Oh yes, the SBs are well and truly back.

Found the wrong-eyed Jesus

Off to a rehearsal studio in an attempt to film us doing our thing soon. Before that, Sweet (Little) Bullets - just the singer and guitarist, without the pretty blue gun - doing a show at The Islington. Also check out our cover of Jim White's Christmas Day.

Crimbo and New Year...

After playing at a burlesque show in Oxford with a stripped-down version of the band, we're back at full strength for the upcoming holiday season shows - 21 December in Streatham and 9 January 2013 at a new venue in Islington.

Next gig...

We're on the bill of a charity event for Water for Kids, held at Nolias 11 bar in Stamford Street. Doors 7.30pm, we're on at 9pm.

More gigs coming up...

You wait for a month, then two come along at once.

Windmill gig

We're back - BBQ Sunday, early evening kick off, round about 6.30 at the Windmill in Brixton. What's that, Sooty? You've discovered a chord that makes people cry?

New recordings

Just put down three tracks at Antenna Studios in Crystal Palace - Now And Then, One More Kiss and A Good Man Is Hard To Find.

It's all kicking off...

We's gotta gig on at the Windmill in Brixton - great venue - on 8 June, then off to Antenna Studios in Crystal Palace to record some. Going back down that road, can't stop now. http://windmillbrixton.co.uk/

The songs are out there

So where to get all the good stuff? Places like this site - http://www.radiofreeamsterdam.com/ - loads of great New Orleans rhythm and blues included.
