We had an awesome show last night at Queen Bee's Art & Cultural Center!!! So much fun! Thank you to Useless Rhetoric's Lynda and Scott for showing up to support us! Jeff, you were really cool! Thank you to Afton for inviting us to play! Can't wait for the next one at The Epicentre! Also, come out to the Poway Library Saturday 1-4pm for the Battle of the Bands final! The videos and pictures of tonight's show are uploading... \m/\m/
Excited about playing in our first Battle of the Bands competition! Debating over which original songs to play. Looks like we're going with Listen to the Crowd Sing, Pushed Around and Abandoned Cities. If you want to root us on, it'll be at the Vista Library, June 30th 1-4pm
We got our first radio play last night on Rock 105.3 Loud and Local show at 10:53pm! So exciting! http://www.rock1053.com/pages/missi2k7.html?article=10171085
Next show is set for July 19th at Queen Bee's. We're so excited to rock our original songs!
Completed setting up the recording studio in our garage! Started recording live tracks of three originals It Gets Better, Forgotten and Days Gone By.
We had an amazing time performing for the first time as a band at Frubble which is a great place to play. Things didn't quite go as planned but we managed to get through the rough patches and give the people watching a fun show! We hope to have another show in the near future but we need to continue to grow our fan base and create some more original songs. Those are our goals and hopefully we can continue to grow with our music well into the High School years which are rapidly approaching... :)
Today is the big day!!! Yesterday, we had a great rehearsal. We can't wait to put on our first show! It should be a blast! Tonight, 7pm at Frubble in Santee
Things are going really well for the band. We've worked hard rehearsing our set list and we feel that we are going to put on an awesome show next Saturday at Frubble. We're so excited about our first show. It's only one week away, April 7th. It's a 35min show, free and all ages. Starts at 7pm.
We've done about three rehearsals now and Tyler, our bass player, is doing really well learning the songs in our set list. We've ordered a band banner and custom drum head using the cool logo, David Mariscal, designed for us. Also, finishing up the artwork for the 4x6 postcards we're going to distribute to promote the April 7th show. Having lots of fun and we're very excited about our new band!
