Lead Guitarist Wanted

Creative lead guitarist required for original Wigan based Blues/Rock project “Chris D and The Broken Machine”

Originally a Blues project with a line up of Drums, Bass, Guitar, Harmonica and Vocals the project has developed into more Rock based than blues and following much discussion it was decided that the Harmonica was not the right instrument for the project and following a drummer change it was decided to replace the Harmonica with another guitar.

The project is a mix of blues and rock with prog rock influences and we are looking for a guitarist to join us to take the project to the next level. Chris D the guitarist/singer wants to step back from lead guitar and focus more on vocals/rhythm guitar and add keyboards to the project.

We have industry interest and have been offered a promotional deal from promoters in London who like our track “I Mean It” and when we have the final version recorded will promote it with radio airplay etc. Gigs have also been offered but until the line up is complete we cannot progress with this.

There are a few tracks uploaded to ReverbNation to listen to which were recorded with the original blues line up. These will give you an idea of the blues side of the project and will be re-recorded with the new line up when complete. You can listen to the tracks here; http://www.reverbnation.com/chrisdandthebrokenmachine

Lead Guitarist Wanted...

Its not worked out with our new guitarist so we are looking for a lead guitarist to join the project. For more info and if you are interested and looking for something to do please get in touch.

Rehearsals start with new line up

We are looking forward to rehearsals starting up again tomorrow and with a new guitarist, keyboards also possibly going into the mix ;) onwards and upwards

Big Thanks

Big thanks to all those who are supporting us. We have moved up to 8 in the rankings on ReverbNation with over 500 fans now and 850 song plays so thanks for all those taking the time out to have a listen and who like what we are trying to do. All the best to you all xxx

New line up

Following constructive criticisms confirming his own thoughts that the project was not quite working as it should Chris D has decided to re-shape the project. After careful consideration and much discussion it has been decided that the Harmonica is not working in the mix and is not the right instrument for the project. The songs are more rock based than blues and will work better with two guitars and so a new line up is on the way.

Unfortunately this means Dean Walton has left the band. The remaining members would like to thank Dean for all his time and efforts for the project and are sorry that its not worked out. For our short time together we have some great memories which will never be forgotten. Dean remains friends and will continue to support the project and we wish him all the best for his musical future.

Dean is looking to be doing something and if anybody is looking for a great Harp player then get in touch and we will let him know.

New drummer found

The band are pleased to announce that Artur Olczyk from Poland has joined them on the drums. The band have had a few rehearsals with Artur and its gone extremely well. Artur has already taken things to a new dimension and the band are now looking to get back to business. Artur is an amazing drummer having trained for 10 years at the Polish School of Music and he can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K93Jwj3_lfs
