Rock In Peace- Gary Jones 1967-2013

It is with great regret that I report the passing of Gary Jones. Gary attended Fort Bragg High School with Ralf and I, and he was the guitarist in our first band. He was a phenomenally gifted musician and could have easily rivaled many of the Heavy Metal guitarist of the era. He was simply a witch on guitar.

For all the time I knew Gary, he relentlessly pursued every interest he had, whether it be football, music or simply being a catalyst for many of the shenanigans we got into our junior and senior years of high school. Gary and I played in the band Romeo in Sacramento during the late 1980s. I last saw him about 25 years ago when he was still pursuing his dream of being a rock star.

Our sympathies go out to his family. Rock in peace, Gary.

TGIF at the Elk Grove Sports Bar

SOH is playing the Elk Grove Sports Bar this upcoming Friday. It is a last minute engagement but we rise to the occasion without skipping a beat. Let's call this the TGIF with SOH at the EGSB! Just us and you, a full set and a ton of Good Times! This will be a show you don't want to miss!

Shots and Rock at Stuckeys.

Alright kids, three days until the monster birthday/anniversary bash at Stuckeys. We are proud to be playing with two top-notch bands, Misamore and The Lucky Seven. We feel equally honored to be ushering in the birthday and anniversary for the Stuckeys. We are calling on all of the Shot Club, friends and family to help us start the spring out with a boom! Eat your Wheaties and get ready to rock! You will not be disappointed! Rocks and Shots Saturday, April 20 at Stuckeys, Galt!

v103

If you haven't heard, there is an excellent internet radio station called v103. They play a variety of rock you would hear on commercial radio, as well as local talent. These are the good guys that want to entertain you. Please give them a listen!

First track off the Demon Dance

Wisconsin is our debut single off The Demon Dance. More to follow....

A big thanks!

Zoom Magazine, a local events publication in Folsom, published a story regarding the Headbanger Hunger Bash at the Boardwalk (http://www.zoomfolsom.com/past-events). While Doug McKee deserves tons of accolades for making this event happen, Shot Of Honesty wants to thank all of our followers who made a strong showing and whose ticket purchases were a major contribution to this cause. We had a great showing and a significant amount of the donation that went to the Sacramento Food bank came from you. WE SALUTE YOU!

Good Times at Chris' Club

Thanks to all those who attended SOH's public debut. It was a great crowd and a ton of fun. Thanks to James and Bypassing Oblivion for inviting us. Another thanks to Fair Struggle for their support. Both bands made our debut memorable and special.
