01-08-15-My Morning Thoughts: TBT I was just thinking of this blast from the past that many use to partake in…shake hands, give your word and keep the promise…now that one needs to make a comeback!...you with me?...plain and simple.
01-07-15-My Morning Thoughts: A world without music, well let’s see; No background music in movies to set the mood, how would a musical be without music?, no commercial jingles stuck in our heads (that’s good and bad I guess), nothing but dead space in elevators, nobody whistling, no dancing to the beat (that may be good for me haha), no rock concerts, no children’s choirs, no toys with songs, no musicians, and the biggest loss in my opinion…no link across this world that helps us all join together because you don’t need to know the language to enjoy a melody…plain and simple.
01-06-15-My Morning Thoughts: I have to say this…I hope all sane people would agree that the shooting of innocent law-abiding police officers that protect us day in and day out is just horrific? You can’t be right-in-the-head if you honestly believe such acts would sway towards any kind of goodness in the world! …we must communicate with each other and demand that the leaders lead with the conviction and compassion towards “all” people…include don’t exclude…plain and simple.
01-05 -15-My Morning Thoughts: Did ya ever want to be somebody else? In the early years when I stumbled across the music scene I wanted to be Elvis, then John Lennon and then Stevie Wonder. As it is, I’m just me, born a Ridgerunner Pennsylvania boy raised in Cleveland that’s mainly Italian and Irish who loves his family enjoys wonderful friendships and likes to write songs every now and again…I-got-a-be-me…plain and simple.
01-01-15-My Morning Thoughts: Happy New Year! Hopeful this year is a wonderful year for all and that somehow someway the people of this world can learn to live together and coexist with love and kindness that’s in each and every one of us!…come on people get together…I know there’s still some turmoil in the world but I pray that any differences are few and far between and that love and peace overrule such differences, so we make this year a truly Happy New Year!...plain and simple.
12-31-14-My Morning Thoughts: “Endings” Ok listen, I’ve finished like 3 entire books ‘word for word’ cover to cover in my life so far…the rest of the books I’ve skipped paragraphs here and skimmed paragraphs there, and that’s about the extent of it. Now don’t get me wrong because I’ve started tons of books but I learned at an early age that I hate ENDINGS! Most endings never worked for me because it always seems writers never know when there ending should take place anyway. I read books and purposely skip the last page or two cause I know it’s just going to ruin it!...now tell me that’s not weird?...now sports articles or news articles or rolling stone like magazines, I read every word, even the end…if you read any books that the end is as good as the rest feel free to let me know…my new year’s resolution, read books completely…Have a Happy and safe New Year’s Eve everyone!...plain and simple.
12-30-14-My Morning Thoughts: I imagine since they put all those subliminal messages in commercials when I was growing up that they put them in all these computer games too….and it’s probably not really good thoughts generally…anyway, maybe we should lobby for positive subliminal thoughts like peace love and even reading writing and arithmetic? …I bet that would change some school grades in a hurry this coming year!…plain and simple.
12-26-14-My Morning Thoughts: Tough day to go back to work for sure!...have a great fantastic safe weekend all and if you got this day off, I’m happy for ya…plain and simple.
12-25-14-My Morning Thoughts: Merry Christmas… Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday’s to all and wishing that every day we remember that were all in this together…plain and simple.
12-24-14-My Morning Thoughts: “Christmas Eve” Around 1979-ish on Christmas Eve at my parents’ house we had a family get together. I remember this one especially because all of us were there on my mother’s side of the family. After the normal hanging out and catching up, everyone went to bed except for me and my Uncle Jack. My Uncle Jack, has always been bigger than life to me. He is a Vietnam veteran and was in the Green Berets Special Forces MACV-SOG Combat Control North I believe it was called. Anyway, that night we sat at the dining room table and talked till the wee-hours of the morning. Stories I would never repeat, however stories I will never forget to be sure!...well now it’s Christmas morning and the family began to wake up and start the day. It’s at this time a realized what a looser I was and I hadn’t bought gifts for everyone so I snuck to my room and did what I try to do best…I wrote a song about the family: “Well its Christmas morning, I just got up. Together with my family and friends, once is not enough. Flying in from North Carolina driving from Pa. bringing gifts of memories and love, to share with us today…and you know where all in love, and nothing can change the way we feel. Every time I think of you you’d never know…oh oh I love ya still. Well its Christmas morning Nathan’s got a train, Tracy runs to see what it is, Nathan lets her play. Krista grown so big now I fine young lady she is, she must have a thousand boyfriends among her ten thousand friends… and you know where all in love, and nothing can change the way we feel. Every time I think of you you’d never know…oh oh I love ya still………………………………………………………….anyway, there’s like ten more verses to the song but you get the idea…the moral of the story is (at least I think it is)…there’s times, especially when you think you have nothing to share…that if you reach deep down…we all have plenty to share…Merry Christmas everyone…plain and simple.
