08-06-12- My Morning Thoughts: Plain and Simple
Are you a leader or a follower? Do you state your opinions openly or in the closet? It’s much easier now to have a voice today whether you choose to be anonymous or not, although the jury still out if that’s a good thing or bad thing. It’s so easy to make a rumor a fact or a falsehood a truth on the internet. All you need is someone posting ‘it’ cleverly and people believe. I have! Fortunately, we also have the ability to set things straight when something doesn’t just feel copasetic…I’ll tell ya a little secrete if you promise not to repeat it…promise?...I use to “streak” in the 70’s…plain and simple.

Love watching the Olympics, don’t love listening to the announcers, especially when their former Olympians…can’t I enjoy the event, anticipate the score without someone telling me (before the judging) how well or poorly they did… have a great weekend everyone and be safe…plain and simple.
Advertisements: A friend of mine (Douglas Dickens) has this showcase on FB Saturday night from 6 to 8pm…he basically showcases some extremely talented independent musicians from all over the world that we might not heard of without his commitment…if your ever on FB on Saturdays give it a listen…you will not be disappointed…

How come lines are so long and life is so short? I’ll bet I’ve stood in lines for thousands of hours and many of those lines were the wrong lines…you know what I mean?…Cedar Point, grocery stores, license plates, movies, concerts, bathrooms and how many more are there?...so my true thought for the day is may your lines be short and you life be long…plain and simple.

Remember your first kiss? I remember mine…I was only three years old and my Mom still has a picture of it…hey wait-a-minute, how did Mom have that picture??? Was I set up or something! Did she just want to try out her new Kodak Instamatic 104 Flash-Cube camera on me? My Mom wouldn’t have synchronized a cute little kiss with her own son and her best friend’s daughter would she? Man I wonder if there were other pre-arranged covert operations? Sorry, I gota go call Mom and find out how I can get to the bottom of this possible conspiracy…although, it still was my first kiss…plain and simple.

Love must be a special mystical happening…with 6 billion people in the world how is it that I ended up with my perfect match? I didn’t meet all 6 billion so how can this happen? Ok when I write I just start writing…if I pull from the news last week then its political or statistical or something horrible usually, if I pull an idea from friends its usually topical or spiritual or lighthearted, if I go from memory its normally slightly exaggerated because the memory aint what it used to be…but the “thoughts” I love to write about and share with friends the most are of feelings and heartfelt emotions that have touched my life in some-sort-of special way…hope to have more of those to come…have a wonderful safe weekend friends…plain and simple.

I have an entire full page list of bucket list’s…but I only have less than a third of life remaining according to the average age life expectancy statistics…I think the first thing I need to do on that list is find that dam Jeanie and use up one of my wishes…plain and simple.

We all know that “things” aren’t bad right? It’s really about how we decide to use “things” that would make them bad or good. Almost any “thing” may fall in this premise and all I ask is that if you have “things” be responsible and use them for good…cause lord knows there’s enough bad out there...plain and simple.
