Live music. Food. Drink. And lots of groovy people. The Center of the Universe Festival is a two-day, non-profit music and arts experience held in Tulsa’s booming Brady Arts District. The event, scheduled for July 24 and 25, 2015, is named after the popular downtown Tulsa landmark, the Center of the Universe, located on the Boston Avenue pedestrian bridge between Archer and First Street. Founded in 2013, the festival brings a huge crowd every year.

This Memorial Day Weekend event has earned the reputation of showcasing the best independent bands and being a one-of-a-kind weekend on the shores of Keystone Lake. The three-day festival is just 20 minutes outside of Tulsa and the beautiful landscape allows full access to camping, swimming, boating, fishing and more. In keeping with tradition, the festival will be better than the last. The only place where better means more than bigger! The festival has grown immensely since its inception in 2008. It has evolved into a true family-friendly community event and provides a welcoming atmosphere for people from every walk of life. Aside from the great music, attendees can take advantage of kids activities, workshops, a veteran’s memorial service, and a vast selection of food, art and shopping. Living Arts of Tulsa is hosting the 18th Annual celebration of “Día de los Muertos” in which it is believed by some Hispanic cultures that the spirits of those who have passed from this earth are remembered and believed to return to join the living who are holding vigil by their altar. Food, Flowers, Artwork, Performances, Music, Dancing, and Murals are all part of the ultimate contrast between the sadness of death and the joy of living.
