Dean Yancey

Dean Yancey has been singing for 44 years. In the late 60’s and early 70’s he sang country music and have done shows with entertainers such as Ernest Tubb, Lefty Frizzel, Red Sovine, Jim Ed Brown, Cal Smith, Conway Twitty, and others. In 1973 he was converted to Christianity and has been singing Gospel music since then. In 2010 he won the Male Vocalist of the Year, and CD of the Year from the Georgia Country Gospel Music Association. In 2011 he won the Rising Star Award from the North American Country Music Association International, and the Most Promising Male Vocalist of the from the Tennessee Country Gospel Music Association. Presently Dean has two songs on the charts in North Carolina, Sanctified at #2 and Peaceful Easy Feeling at #7. Dean graduated from Lee College in 1979 with a BS in Christian Ed. Graduated from the Church of God School of Theology in 1082 with an MS in Religion; In 2002 he graduated from Covington Theological Seminary in Rossville, Ga with a Th.D.
