The Faithful Few Music Ministry / Blog

Happy Thanksgiving!!

As the Thanksgiving holiday quickly approaches we want to first thank the Lord for being who He is everyday! We are grateful for being His servants and choosing us to do a great work for the kingdom. We are thankful for God always providing for us, protecting us, teaching us, grooming us, and loving us unconditionally. We are thankful for our families, friends, our church family, and all of you fans who have supported our ministry since day one. May everyone have a blessed Thanksgiving day, be safe, and use this time to be a blessing to someone. God bless you all in Jesus' name!

Benediction (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto Him be the glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (A Time and Season for Everything)

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

We Are Family!

Though most of us go to the same church and are a spiritual family, there are actually some blood relations in this group too:

Eld. Chuck Moorer & Chelsea Moorer - Father & Daughter

Eld. Forrest Wooley & Natalie Pipkin - Brother & Sister

Min. Kyle Maxwell & Min. Carla Maxwell - Husband & Wife

Min. Carla Maxwell & Carmen Cotham - Sisters

Todd Bennett is big brother to us all in Christ Jesus.

We are many members from various bloodlines, but all are of the body of Christ and washed by His blood!

We really appreciate all of your prayers and support for our ministry. We hope we have been a blessing to you all....we love you all in Jesus' name!

Our Other Ministries

When we are not doing music, we have other kingdom ministries we tend to at our church.

The majority of us belong to Divine Direction Christian Church where our bass player Elder Charles T. Moorer, Jr. is the senior pastor. He also teaches our Bible Study classes occassionally. He always has a good word from the Lord that is powerful, relevant, and practical for holy living and preparing for eternal life by rightly dividing the word of truth (2nd Timothy 2:15). Elder Moorer along with his wife Crystal are always ready to pray, counsel, and bless others in need. He strongly believes that we are saved to serve, and he surely has a servant's heart.

Our drummer Elder Forrest H. Wooley III serves as the assistant pastor and was previously the youth minister. He is also the Adult Sunday School teacher and a co-leader of a youth empowerment session along with his mother Neline called A.S.A.P (African-American Self Awareness Program) to help the African-American youth understand who they are and Whose they are. The Lord also gives him powerful messages for His people on the Sundays he preaches.

Minister Kyle Maxwell serves as one of the ministers on the roster and heads up the men's ministry called Men Sharpening Men based on Proverbs 27:17. Formerly a deacon, he now preaches for our Youth Sunday services. He and Elder Wooley team up to visit those who are sick and shut-in as well as those who have been admitted into the hospital.

Minister Carla Maxwell is the minister of music and also plays the piano for our services. She has played a role in working with Vacation Bible School and has organized our summer Youth Back 2 School Jams. She is also one of teachers for the toddlers in our Children's Church.

Natalie Pipkin and her husband Andre head up a marriage and family ministry called R.I.S.E. (Renew, Inspire, Strengthen & Explore) to encourage Christian fellowship with other married couples and promote godly living in marriages and families. She is also a member of the DDCC choir singing alto and occassionally directs.

Carmen Cotham heads up our church food pantry through her ministry called Feed My Sheep with her husband Ryan by her side feeding those in need around our community. She also sings in the DDCC choir in the soprano section, occassionally directs, and helps lead praise and worship. She also helps teach the toodlers in Children's Church.

Chelsea Moorer also sings in the DDCC choir in the alto section also helping lead praise and worship. She was very active in the youth ministry during her youth and now assists the youth with singing praises to the Lord along with many other projects. When away at school, she attends (New) New Bethany Church of God in Christ where she is active in music ministry.

Todd Bennett, although not a member of DDCC, is heavily involved in the media ministry at Imani Community Church and has used his skills to bless the group with videos and pictures for kingdom promoting. He and his wife Christie have also been led to start a marriage ministry at their church. Todd is still a DDCC member in spirit for we are all a part of the body of Christ, the real church.

Chase Stancle with The Faithful Few at IWU

You may remember Chase Stancle as one of the contestants on BET's Sunday's Best among the top 20 in ranking. He is from Grand Rapids, MI with a powerful ministry. On Friday, September 28 we will have the blessing of sharing the stage with him in Marion, IN on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University. It's not about meeting a TV celebrity, but having the opportunity to be a part of a wonderful worship experience with someone who has a heart for God and seeing doors open up for us all. Refer to our show schedule for more details, and all who will be in the northern Indiana area are welcome to come and praise the Lord with us. May God bless you and keep you!

Are You A Good Person? "Part 2" by Elder Forrest H. Wooley III

Now imagine yourself in the courtroom awaiting your punishment for your crime, then someone you do not know enters the courtroom and pays your debt; what are the odds of that? That is exactly what Jesus did for us over 2000 years ago. God sent His Son (Himself in the flesh) Jesus Christ to show us how to live (Luke 2:11; John 1:14). Jesus also gave Himself as a ransom by taking our place on the cross dying for our sins (Mark 15:37). Three days after His burial, He resurrected from the dead having all power in His hand defeating death and sin giving us the ability to be reconciled back to God (Matthew 27:59, 60; John 3:16). He has now ascended into Heaven sitting at the right hand of the Father making intercessions for His children ( Mark 16:19) and will soon return to bring all of His people into the Kingdom of God (1st Thessalonians 4:14-18; 5:2-10). ■This is an opportunity for you to be forgiven for all of your sins and be right with God. There is only one way to God, and it is through Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Take this time now to go to the Lord with total reverence and confess your sins to Him, then repent (turn away from your sins) [Luke 24:47]. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Son of God and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9), then accept Him as your Lord and Savior. Ask the Lord to fill you with the Holy Ghost so He can dwell in you and help you to live holy and righteous (1st Corinthians 3:16). Be sure sure to thank Jesus for saving your soul and allowing you to have relationship with God, then start worshipping and praising Him. Once you have done this, you have immediately become a part of the body of Christ, and God has forgiven you of all sin. You have now inherited eternal life in Heaven after you leave this Earth instead of facing eternal punishment in Hell. You are no longer just God's creation, but you are now His child! As a new Christian, be sure to share your conversion with all of your loved ones and find a good Bible-believing church home to plant your feet and grow spiritually (Hebrews 10:25). You will also need to be baptized to symbolize the change the Lord made in your life and to acknowledge Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection (Matthew 28:19). Surround yourself with as many godly people as possible who will hold you accountable for maintaining you relationship with God and learning His word. Finally as you grow stronger in your walk with God, be sure to reach out to others who are lost and share the gospel of our Lord Jesus so they too can choose to have the gift of salvation like you do (Mark 16:15). All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). Jesus died for us all so our wages of sin would be paid in full, and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). Don't keep the good news all to yourself, tell the whole world that Jesus is real, and He saves! May the Lord bless you and keep you!
