On January 31, 2015, Rainbow Girls organized the first ever entirely female line up at one of San Francisco's most famous venues: The Fillmore. Joined by 3 other bay area acts- The SHE'S, The Hot Toddies, and Kendra McKinely- the Rainbow Girls made their first big dent in San Francisco history.
The flyer for the event, designed by Rainbow Girls' own Caitlin Gowdey, was featured on the cover of "The New Fillmore" for the month of January. Read the article online below:

December 18th, 2014:
Four years ago this month, we rainbows set out for Joshua Tree National Park and Big Bear Mountain for a life-changing adventure of music making, bonding, and exploring. We returned 5 days later as the Rainbow Girls, a brand new band with a demo we self-recorded in tents and caves, cabins and rock formations, in the rain and by the light of a candle. It was our first step, hop, leap, and jump as a collaborative project. We have come a long way since then, and though changes are on the horizon, we shall continue our journey down this rainbow path you all have helped us build. With that said, it is with love in our hearts and smiles on our faces, though tears in our eyes, that we bring to you the news of the departure of our beloved green of the rainbow, miss Cheyenne Methmann. She will be forever with us in spirit, be it performing onstage or busking on the street corner.

Just found out today that our brand new album --The Sound of Light- has been dubbed #26 in the UK's Independent Music News Charts!!

Our friend Sean Lesh made a sweet surf video featuring "Sailin" off our brand new album, The Sound of Light. It is starring Bobby Martinez and has gotten a lot of attention for how well done it is. It's been on the home page of dozens of surfing websites! YEOW!

WE HAVE 7 DAYS LEFT TO RAISE $7,000 FOR OUR ALBUM!
Hello everyone! We Rainbow Girls have been very busy recording our first official album and planning our epic CD release show, but we've had to halt our work due to a lack of funds.
HOWEVER! We started an Indiegogo Fundraiser (like Kickstarter) to raise the rest of the money we need to finish our album, get it mixed, mastered, pressed to vinyl, and packaged with all the artwork and goodies we envision :)
There are all kinds of cool incentives like signed CDs, limited edition vinyl, secret Rainbow Girls tapes, and all kinds of fun memorabilia. You can even get a private Rainbow Girls show just for you and your friends!
If you can't be a big spender, please consider *pre-ordering your CD* for $20, and your copy of our brand new album will be mailed to your door for free in the beginning of April!

Goodbye Chey!
