About Jen Tucker

Jen Tucker is a singer/songwriter who performs folk music around Sonoma county. Jennifer is an emerging artist rooted in americana folk and writes songs about love and politics.

Jennifer began writing songs as a teenager after hearing live music in Deep Ellum, in Dallas and began performing at Dave's Art Pawn Shop on Fridays in 1989. In her journey, Jennifer left Deep Ellum in search of the coffee houses of San Francisco but it wouldn't be until 20 years later that Jennifer would rediscover her music and begin writing songs again.

In the heart of the redwood forest is the town of Occidental and a wonderful beer bar called Barley & Hops where Jennifer has spent the past three years developing herself as an artist and performer. Jennifer has received tremendous support from the community including KOWS radio as well as KRSH radio in Santa Rosa.

In August of 2011 Jen completed recording her first album "Something I Didn't Do" with Doug Jayne from Jackalope Recording in Santa Rosa and is currently recording her second album "Songs From the Bohemian Highway." Inspired by the 2008 election, Jennifer wrote songs about the state of the country, of music, and our american culture for this album.

Jennifer has performed at local festivals like the Handcar Regatta, Freestone Fermentation Festival, Roots Americana in Courthouse Square and The North Bay Hootenanny at Arlene Francis Center.
