Ware Center Concert, October 23, 2015

Already looking forward to playing the Ware Center on October 23 with Kerensa Gray Jazz. The band will be John Gingerich/bass, Jessie Moody/drums, me on piano and the outstanding vocals of Kerensa Gray. More details to follow

Jazz Jams

I've been enjoying playing at the Central PA Friends of Jazz jam sessions over the past year. Every single one has been a learning experience, a new tune, a new riff, a cool harmonization, etc. I've met and heard some wonderful players and gotten to gig with several of them, which is an added bonus. Such talent in this area!

Keep Growing

I've been studying jazz piano with master keyboardist Kirk Reese at Messiah College. Began this past summer and am loving it. This along with my attending area jazz jam sessions is taking my playing to the next level. I'm enjoying playing, practicing and gigging more than ever.

Greenfield Inn, Lancaster

Played with Kerensa Gray and her debut night at the Greenfield Inn. John Gingerich, a talented young player on upright bass completed the trio. Beautiful venue. Try to catch us there in the future.

Summer music

Check out my upcoming performances with the Back In Motion Band. 8 piece R&B, funk, rock band. Also, the Dave Winter Group appears at PennMar park on Sunday , June 22, 2:00-5:00.

Comus Inn Jazz Night

Played with Kerensa Gray at the Comus Inn, Dickerson, MD. Beautiful restaurant and mountain setting for a fun night of jazz.

Jazz at the Valencia

Wonderful performance for the Morgan Stanley financial seminar on 11/7/13 at the Valencia Ballroom in York. Had the pleasure of working with Greg Thompkins, Jerry Brenner, Jesse Powers and Kerensa Gray. A powerhouse lineup of talent.

Back In Motion

Having a great time working occasionally with the Back In Motion 8 piece horn band. We're doing some nice soul and R&B tunes all designed to keep the dance floor rockin'.

John Thomas with Dave Winter

Thanks to Baltimore saxophonist John Thomas who jumped in at the last minute on 2/20/13 to fill in for an ailing Greg Thompkins. Outstanding performance on short notice.

Playing with Greg Thompkins at Sullivans

Wednesday, Feb 20 will be another performance with Baltimore premier sax player Greg Thompkins. Sure to be an outstanding night.
