The Roadkill Rumor Mill

July 3, 2016:

Most close friends of Joe Roads know that through his playing career he has played many tribute shows in honor of The Doors and Jim Morrison on two particular dates every year. December 8th (Morrison's birthday) & July 3rd, the anniversary of Jim Morrison's untimely death in Paris, France forty-five years ago today.

That said, rumor has it that, at some point today, Joe Roads will be doing a live performance on Facebook! And, more than likely Roads will most definitely include some Doors material. And, in fact, it wouldn't be a surprise if Joe Roads was to do a special version of "The End" as this song has been a staple of his Doors tributes in the past.

Neither Joe nor The Roads have yet to go live on Facebook to this point. So, keep an eye out for a live notification from Roads later on today.

Also, in other Roadkill news...

Talk of the return of Jordan Roads is on the horizon. As we know, The Roads drummer has been on a short hiatus from playing since complications brought on by her EDS have emerged. Two months have passed since The Roads last live performance together.

Her return to playing May still be a little ways off but, according to sources close to the band, Jordan will be returning more sooner then later. Stay tuned for updates.

The Roadkill Report

May 5, 2016 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“USING BEAUTIFUL, UNCONVENTIONAL CHORD PROGRESSIONS, AND A PERCUSSIVE AND DRIVING RHYTHM, THE ROADS TAKE THE LISTENER ON AN EXCITING MUSICAL TRIP.”

- Keith Jones (The Towerlight-Towson, MD)

Hendersonville, NC – The Roads have burst onto the scene with a vengeance, as Joe Roads, an intensely captivating singer/songwriter, has brought on his daughter, Jordan as the drummer of the band. Armed with an acoustic guitar and a powerful, soul barring voice Joe Roads delivers a deeply heart-felt performance. And, Jordan Roads matches her father’s intensity with her machine gun fills and thunderous accents. She is truly the backbone beat of this band. And, let it be known that this is yet another chapter in this bands history that has spanned twenty five years. The Roads first made their public debut back in June 1992 in Baltimore, Maryland at the famous Full Moon Blues Saloon located in the Fells Point district. Immediately, they were noted for their theatrical approach to music. With a combination of poetic lyricism and a psychedelic blues sound, The Roads gained a reputation of being epic and dramatic. The Roads music has been heard & booked into venues all across the US from coast to coast. From the Village of New York City (The Bitter End) all the way to Berkley California (The Starry Plough). And, points between in such cities as Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC, Alexandria, VA, Savannah, GA, New Orleans, LA, & including the infamous Hurricane Tour of Florida in the cities of St. Augustine, Sarasota, Bradenton, Ft. Myers & Ft. Myers Beach, and Naples. Joe Roads has recorded & released a dozen albums over the course of seventeen years. Roads, has performed live on TV and radio, most notably in Baltimore, MD. But, after a six year hiatus from the band and live music in general, Joe has joined forces with his very own daughter in what should be noted as the most intriguing lineup of this band. Now, The Roads are based out of Asheville, NC and are the new kid on the block. Joe & Jordan Roads are surely up to the challenge of spreading their music all across the South and, are looking forward to expanding The Roads resume even further. The Roads wish to extend a thank you to all who have listened to their sound and an invitation to take part in this unique musical ceremony.

The Weekly Roadkill Report

What an amazing success! The release of my album "The Trystyng" along with the single from the album, "Living In The USA" was uneventful to say the least. I did get some positive reactions and comments on the song and the video. And, I am thankful for that.

The Weekly Roadkill Report

This past week has been busy. I released my "best of" album titled, "From Lunar Pigs To Prophecy" available in my ReverbNation store for only $10.69 cheap! This mind thropic record includes 15 tracks from seven different albums. In coodinance with its release I promoting two songs in particular. One of which is "Beyond Tomorrow" and the other "Everytime Girl". Both of which will be on my next album release entitled "Beyond Tomorrow". Due out September 5, 2011. Also, I'm planning to release the single, "Livin' In The U.S.A." on September 11, 2011, in honor of the americans and their loved ones who were violently and unjustly stripped of their lives during the terrorist attacks on the U.S. ten years ago. On a lighter note I was finally able to get my Soundclick site in order. I have (8) Mp3 albums on sale now through Soundclick.com. This is the only Mp3 store offering a rare bootleg show from the Hurricane Tour. It was the last show scheduled on the west coast of Florida that year. It's called "Live At The Sweet Bean Cafe". It's a real chill show. Other available albums include my debut release, "Joe Roads" as well as my 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th albums. Also offered is a special Soundclick only release of "The Hurricane Tour Live". This is different from the original double album release from the year 2001. And, finally there's my gospel album simply titled "Joseph".
