We just discovered a review of our CD "ether sunday" by Anthony Mariani of the Fort Worth Weekly dated November 22nd. You can see it at http://www.fwweekly.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=5181%3Akiller-or-filler&catid=38%3Amusic&Itemid=399. We were pleased that he liked our lyrics and seemingly the music. We'll have to work on the production. It's interesting that he thought "Her Eyes" was the best song on the album because it was the last song we put on there. However, every person we talk to seems to have a different favorite song... UTA Radio selected the instrumental "Agony & Defeat" as one of the two songs of ours that they played. We're often surprised, but glad that virtually every song appeals to someone!
Saturday night we opened for Jefferson Colby and My Wooden LeG at the Grotto. This was our second time at this venue (the other being 5/18/2011) and like last time, it was a lot of fun. The Grotto is a cozy, well-maintained club where the patrons are supportive... perfect for band like ours. Our set seemed well-received and one of the patrons even bought each of the band members a shot while on stage. We were followed by My Wooden LeG, which is unique in its mix of Eastern European and Rock influences, but very accessible to the receptive audience. Jefferson Colby headlined, the epitome of the power trio with guitar, bass and drums all going full bore. Rock music is very much alive and well in Fort Worth!
