Happy Harvest

Samhain is upon us. Dont forget to thank a farmer for the food you eat today...even if it's a 100% candy diet all day...someone had to grow it.

Highland Games

We are very proud to announce that we will once again be a part of the musical entertainment at the Springfield Area Highland Games and Celtic Fest. 2014 was our first year there and we had a blast. More details to follow as we get closer to May 2015. Cheers!

Bill's Blog

Working on a couple of Bill Monroe tunes to add some variety to the set. Jerusalem Ridge is a beast of a tune and Tennessee Blues will be making an appearance soon also.

Erin Feis.

We are getting really exited about playing Erin Feis on the Riverfront again this year. Should be a beautiful day for a beer tent. Which begs the question. When isnt a good day for a beer tent?

August is shaping up to be a hot month for the Rovers. We will be opening for the Mahones and also playing Peoria Erin Feis. Keep watching our Events section as we add shows.

Still recovering.

We are still recovering from our whirlwind of 6 shows in 3 days over the Paddy's Day Weekend. Hope you all had as much fun as we did.

Reverb what?

Kinda forgot this here site had one of those blog thingies. Hmm. How about a toast? Here's to our wives and girlfriends...may they never meet! Thank you and goodnight.

Sept 3rd Show

So if you've been keeping up with the news you know about our newest member, Chris Meers. On a sidenote...Chris is also in the Bogside Zukes who are playing at Peoria Erin Feis this weekend...so go check em out. Back to 4LR news...just a disclaimer so no one can be mad at me. The Peoria ART SHOW does NOT sell alcohol. Guess that means everyone is going to have to tie one on before the show...so come prepared to have fun but please dont get out of hand.

Yesterdays practice was awesum! Jenna did a great job getting her parts together for the originals and Chris is fitting in perfectly. Practice again Sunday and going to start looking at playing out again soon so stay tuned. ~Scott

Woke up early this morning to get my girlfriend off to work then went home and started writing whistle parts for a new song Im working on. Should be done with the main structure within the week and have a good idea about the lyrics too. Super exited about practice tomorrow. Its the first time that Jenna and Chris will have met and Im gonna make them play music together weather they like it or not. LOL!!! Chris has been working on the originals as well as some of the old covers...Drunken Lullabies, Good Morning Da!, Sayonara, etc...and they sound good already so I cant wait to hear them with violin! Maybe if the tunes are sounding good enough I will record a few and post them here soon...so keep an ear out for new material. Thanks for reading this...and stay tuned.
