New Review from Emergenza

This is not a simple review.

This is an appreciation on our part, of what is on offer from Cascade.

Emergenza festival's music competition runners.

After listening to their six song E.P titled Anfractuosity we were sure we were dealing with a fully fledged uber professional touring band.

No wait, we thought this was some American big budget rock star project.

It is in fact Cascade, a five piece rock band from Sydney. Their songs are aggressive, melodic and have such strength that we feel they are ready for the big time.

Driving guitars, loud drums and powerful vocals is a way to describe these guys who make the melodies their forte in song-writing. Wonderful backing singing is also part of what the "package" has on offer, particularly in the song Circles where it strengthens the tune in the chorus part. The song starts out with a crescendo of drums and everything explodes with a super riff and fierce vocals.

After 4 listens we are hooked. Cascade is really great to listen to and we feel they are radio friendly enough (and ready enough perhaps) to get to a mainstream audience. This upcoming band is taking part in the first heat of the Emergenza festival battle of the band competition in Sydney very soon at the legendary Metro club, one of the best live music venues in the southern hemisphere.

Check our website for the times and exact date of their gig. Go see them play our music competition!
