The Downtown County Band

The Downtown County Band began nearly four years ago on a hill in Owenton Kentucky. The current arrangement of Keith Clifton on banjo, Wes Petzinger on guitar, Dave Hawkins on mandolin, and John Atha on upright bass/chicken bak, has composed the band for the past two productive years. During this time, back in 2010, these fine young Kentucky artists released their self-titled debut album. Since then and along the way have acquired percussionist Jason Halker on drums, and just last March 2012 recorded their highly anticipated second studio album “that a way.” The band’s growth is apparent as they look set to begin touring soon… playing for audiences across the country.
