It's a new year, which means new sounds for The Cosmonauts. We're just a week into January and already we've had some airplay on KA Radio and Mesi Radio. The end of the month sees our first gig of the year with The Jackals, Deluded Buddhas and The Bare Bones in Edinburgh! It's going to be an amazing night, so get your tickets if your in town.
So 2013 for us is going to be one busy year as we have plans to release a double A-side single at the end of April. We'll be following this release with a mini- tour of Scotland in May so please watch this space for dates and venues.
So to make way for new sounds, the band have decided to take most of our debut album down from our soundcloud page and other sites to make way for our new recordings. You can still purchase our album from all major online retailers. We've had great feedback from it's release and can't thank everyone who's bought, shared and downloaded our tracks.
Thanks again for all your support, we're going to make this a year to remember!

It's been really busy at Cosmonaut H.Q over the last few months. We uploaded a little 3 track EP to give all our fans and new listeners an idea of what's to come on the debut album. It's had such a great response from all over and even made it on to the radio!
The band debuted in the USA on Daddy O Radio with a 24hour UK music invasion. Following this we were then featured on Gashouse Radio in Phildelphia. All our song proved popular with their new listeners. Next up was Dusty Millar with Splash Radio in Dunfermline, Scotland. He's a huge fan of our work and looking forward to the album! Also in Scotland we've been played on KA Radio in Kilmarnock and Dogs Got a Bone on East Lothian FM. Last but by no means least, The Cosmonauts were Unsigned Artist of the Week on Hermitage Fm's The Launch Pad. Tina loved our sound...especially the cello!
We'd like to thank each and every one of the presenters and stations for featuring our music! It's been fantastic hearing all your feedback. There's a free album in for you all!
Thanks again to everyone for all your support!
Last nights gig put on by The Big Stooshie crew had to be one of the best nights we have played!! The night was kicked off by The Aftermath, have to say their set was awesome, and if you get a chance, check these guys out! Slowly but surely the room was filling with the second band on Eyes Own - lovely wee band from outside Glasgow, sang lots of covers....and then it was our turn!! We managed to squeeze in 8 tracks ...it was so much fun with all the lights and huge sound system! After us we had Rising Souls, Felix Champion and finally Revolution all the way from Fife!!
We are VERY pleased to announce we will be performing live at The Big Stooshie Festival, May 2012 in Fife along with Rising Souls! Congrats guys! Also would like to say a huge thanks to Vonnie Carstairs for organising such a great shindig...looking forward to working with you again!!
Peace an Love
What a day!! We had the pleasure of shooting our band photos for our coming album, with the lovely Dylan and Joanna - KitchenerPhotography. We rocked up to Silverknowes with our catalogue of bluesteels ready to vogue and thankfully the rain was no where to be seen! Luckily the tide was out so we managed to get quite far out, with an awesome WWII fort in the Forth as our back drop!
Thanks to Paul, we had the pleasure of Steve and Gary with their beautiful Hawk and baby owl accompaning us to the shoot. It was such an amazing experience being up close and personal with such a graceful creature....the photos will be something to treasure!
So it's back to the hard graft of recording and preparing for our gig on the 30th July at the Liquid Rooms. We cannot wait to bring The Cosmonaut sound to the rooms!! Hope to see you all there!!
Peace and Love The Cosmonauts
We are so glad to be back after a years break! Feels good to be gigging again, thanks to Henry;s Cellar bar for hosting our come back gig! It's been a busy 12 months and are pleased to say our album should be ready shortly! I'm sure there will be a grand launch party for such an occassion!
If you just can't wait then we are playing Maggies Chamber on Friday 1st of July, 7-11pm £4/£5 on the door. There are some cracking bands and acoustic acts on the bill so should definitly be a great night!
Hope to see you there!
Love and Peace
