5 songs into our first set we did Texas Flood then it followed with Evil Ways. Shortly into the song we had a sudden down pour with tremendous lightning and rain.So much in fact that our Drummer Mark Ammar was drenched from a leak from the roof and water was pouring down on top of the Bass Amp. Quick action by Dave shouting shut down the amp We were able to save the situation. the Drums moved front and centre and the Bass beside him, where as I (Gerry) moved down to the floor where I played Harmonica on the dance floor! we completed the set and did another two sets which was well received by the crowd. on a 30 song set list we did 12 new tunes and revamped 4 more check out the new songs we had a great time.
Friday we rocked at the ROCK, did over 30 songs will be posting new ones and we kicked ass at the Blues Festival in Beaumont. It was a really fun venue all the people there from musicians to volenteers and fans were the BEST in the world!! I learned something from a fellow harpist Terry (74) he said to me Love your harpin, Sonny Boy Williamson said many years Back Playing the harp was like talking nobody does it the same way thats what makes us all unique! I agree thats one hell of a lesson!
