Perfectionist....

Hey you guys.... what's good with ya fam? (Yeah, I feel as if you're fam because you're growing with me in my career) I just want to say THANK YOU for all the love and support that I've been getting from you guys the past few weeks on here. As I said in the intro/bio section, you'll witness a wide variety of music from me, and that's exactly what you're going to get. I'll be posting a few more songs in the weeks to come. Hang in there with me, I only want to give you guys the best. Again Thank You All, God Bless....

Change, In My Eyes.... (Yes I'm a poet as well)

What's going on family and friends.... Shorties, Fellas, Ladies and Gentlemen. It's been a long time coming... And you know.... I was wondering if I would ever see this day... one that I could finally say; ok, we're starting to make a difference... A change for the better. A change that my kids, an my kids, kids, an my kids, kids, kids will be armed with the weapons of knowledge and intellect; power, refinement, and most importantly..... Self Respect. Respect for one's community; respect for life; It takes a village to raise a child, so point that finger at self when he or she's not doing right Change begins with that person standing in the mirror everyday. It's the transformation from potential to kinetic by putting actions into the words that you say, like, instead of saying "I'm going to college and get my degree." Actually step foot inside of a classroom, and mentally; you'll be miles from these "streets" Change doesn't begin when that person says "We need new government officials" Change happens when they actually apply themselves. God said if you make one step then he'll make two. But most often times we're like, "Hold on let me get my shoes that I can rock with my Ed Hardy's and fitted hat." But there's no time for that; Another opportunity passed, another precious moment wasted.... due to being trapped in that mental matrix. It's like Lyfe Jennings said: "The ghetto has a way of manipulating the children, tricking them into believing that life has no meaning down here" Ya see it's like; it's like... a... a... It's like a pressure cooker and it's hard to cope; and it's hard to keep a nine to five so they look up to the hustler's getting money and decide to sell dope thinking that's the easy way out; but in reality, that's the hardest route: There's a lot of stress, a lot of worry, a lot of sleepless nights; you're always looking over your shoulder, don't know who your true friends are, and wondering when is it going to be YOUR time... Random question, what if there were community centers with workshops to unlock hidden potential; with mentors like big brothers and big sisters for a positive influence? Do you think that would be a better place? It's the start of a new day, We've come a long way; but still we've got so far to go... In the words of Tupac Shakur. Hold on, hold on... Ya see, Check this out... Let me start over thinking on a broader scale; hypothetically speaking let's say that you were job seeking here, fresh out of college ready to start your career: but options are limited and bills keep coming and you downsize that Honda Civic to a moped or something It affects your train of thought and weak minds often lose focus, then they fall back into that same trap that I was speaking of before. Know from in whence you came there is no limit to how far you can go,so, from this day forth let's take a vow, not to go that route no more;

and change.....

Shout's To Tha Classy Divas!

Well, tha show in Charlotte NC was a great success!!! Big Up to my team (Reverbnation.com/teamie) Doc, Knowledge, Niko, Trouble, Problems, Money, Toon, Kim, and Bri. (Thanks fam, much love and respect!!!) I also want to take the time to thank Shef, Trice, and B-Star The Uprite Lions. It was an honor sharing the spotlight with you guys. Classy Divas, words can't express how grateful we are that you guys extended the invitation for us to come express our art. Thanks Everybody that was in attendance, physically as well in mind. Much Love....

M.C. or Emcee... Me... I'm BOTH...

For those that don't already know this.... To maintain a career in this field, takes HARD WORK and DEDICATION. I, Myself is what some would call a Hip-Hop Head... I Live, Breathe, Eat, Sleep, Walk, and Talk Hip Hop.

Now that I have that out of the way... I have something on my chest that I want to say... I hear people speaking on "I'm to underground, or to hood for mainstream" Well, in my opinion... that lacks the qualifications of being a M.C. or Master Of Ceremony. You have to have crowd control... Delivery, Performance, Persona.... There are ways of saying what you truly want to say in a more artistic way... Do what you label yourself as... Create Art.....

...Countdown!!!!!

So, as the day's draw near for this huge performance that you guys are about to witness, we were at rehearsal today. All I can really tell you guys in my best Kevin Hart voice... "It's About To Go Down!!!" Team I.E. along with Rayz Up recording artist Knowledge definitely have something to showcase for you listening and viewing pleasure! Love you guys, and thanks for the support! I promice I WILL NOT let you down!

Abstract

My Realm

What's going on world? It's me, Chris, and I go by the name of Abstract. You will soon find out that I have a wide variety of music. My mind tend's to wander I guess you could say. I'm an avid reader as well. Deepak Chopra is among one of my many favorites. I love the arts of all forms, from painting to dance. I write about all of those experiences. That is where the title Abstract Visionz comes from. It's just seeing the world through my eyes. So, with that being said. Let the journey begin...
