Kamloops July 10th (Gig) - July 11th Day

Heavy Metal is about quality not quantity and we had a quality crowd last night at the Dirty Jersey. Thank you for everyone who came out on a Tuesday night to listen to some wicked tunes. Kamloops locals Padova opened up the show and blew me away again and Naraka closed the show with a truly wicked set.

We were given a round of free bowling by the venue and somehow chris ended up winning despite having bowled like 3 frames. My only strike came on a shot I took for Kenny and we were bowling spares a plenty for Chris. We are back at the Dirty Jersey on Saturday July 14th so there is definitely going to be a rematch!

Today is a travel day as we head on our way out of BC and into Alberta. We March on Calgary next! Thursday July 12 at the Distillery with Hrom, Hellrazer and Profits of Doom, be there or die square!!

Total Distance Traveled: Approx. 975 KM (which means Approx. 39 Million Inches for those of you who like that kind of knowledge) Keep the Faith, Leighton Holmes (Bass Guitar) www.facebook.com/ironkingdom

The March continues! (July 9th)

The sun is scorching and the heat is turning up on the tour. It was a wicked show last night. Ziege Schwanze kicked the show off with their off the wall strangeness and were throughly entertaining. Despite having to borrow gear Finishhymn still came out and served up some ass kicking heavy metal. Guitar driven 3 piece Naraka tore it up next dishing up some thrashy awesomeness. The crowd was small but vocal and we felt the love. Being a traditional metal band playing with 3 much heavier bands we felt like we really had to show these guys what we can do and I feel we won them over in the end.

Tonight we are back in Kamloops playing again with Padova and Naraka at the Dirty Jersey. Doors at 7. Padova opens the show and Naraka is headlining its going to be another awesome show!

Total Driving Distance: 725 KM

Thanks again to Kristina Killkrist for organizing and promoting the show, the delicious pasta and garlic bread dinner and letting us crash at her place. You rock Kristina and we can't wait to do another show with you!

The calm before the storm.. (July 8th (Night)- July 9th (DAY))

Blistering sun and ice cold beer, our first day off was spent doing pretty much nothing. As soon as the sun went down we moved our party to the parking lot and after grabbing more beer I tried to teach the band how to play hacky sack. That was interesting to say the least. Despite packing shit loads of food before we set out from home we soon discovered we didn't bring any ketchup, but its said that necessity is the mother of all invention and invent we did. Turns out peanut butter hot dogs and croissants are actually quite the combo.

TONIGHT WE RAISE HELL IN KELOWNA!!!

Total Travel distance: Approx. 550 KM

Life on the road is awesome and surprisingly making your bed on top of 4 Marshall cabs is not bad at all. Though I'm sure if you ask Kenny and Amanda sleeping in the car wasn't too fun haha

July 6-8th 2012 THE TOUR HAS BEGUN!!!

HELL YEAH KAMLOOPS!! (July 7th NIGHT - July 8th DAY)

We had a truly wicked time playing for a bunch of crazy heavy metal maniacs! Local band Padova opened the show and kicked some ass. Despite being a young band these guys showed they had both talent and heart. Omega Crom kicked the show up a notch with a blistering set that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Then came time for Iron Kingdom to rock it. The crowd was fantastic, moshing and screaming their hearts out. At one point they were moshing so hard they almost pulled the front of the stage off. Bwahahaha long live Metal! We had a blast showing Kamloops our brand of traditional metal and can't wait to be back on the 10th & 14th at the Dirty Jersey. The weather is beautiful and we are off to an awesome start so let the good times keep rolling as we keep on trucking.

Next Stop Kelowna!!!! gig on July 9th! Total Travel distance: Approx. 550 KM Keep the Faith, Leighton Holmes (Bass Guitar) www.facebook.com/ironkingdom ___________________________________________ The Journey has begun! (July 6th Gig - July 7th during the day)

The tour kick off last night was wicked. Thank you to everyone who came out last night to wish us well out on the road. We left the home base in Surrey this morning and as we make our way into the foot hills the anticipation is mounting. Tonight we are in Kamloops playing Pogue Mahones with our brothers in Omega Crom and Padova. It's hot already but we will set this place on fire tonight!

To the Heavy Metal Kingdom!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support us on Saturday night at Jolly Mac's to make another local Surrey show a success.

Aeterna showed no mercy and if you missed their set you missed a truly killer one. Unfortunately their set was cut short when the breaker blew during their last song. But that's metal for ya!

We have another show coming up on May 19th at The Gates (333 Clark) supporting My Own Chaos, Skookum and Grace Under Pressure. So for those of you who missed this one or can't get enough Kingdom, come support us, tickets cost $5. It's going to be a good night of Heavy Metal!

We have been very busy recently and are only doing more in the next few months so stay tuned for new merch and other exciting news. If you know anyone in the Kamloops or Vernon area who can help us book shows for this July please get us in contact with them.

If you haven't had the chance already, please wander over to our facebook page and give us a like. www.facebook.com/ironkingdom Keep the Faith,

Iron Kingdom back in Vancouver!

A big thank you to everyone who made it out on Friday to see us rock the Media Club Vancouver! We didn't play until 1am so thank you so much for sticking around, you guys were wicked! We've got to give Kenny a warm round of applause for even playing on Friday, he had to get 3 stiches on his nuckle just days before the show!!

If you weren't able to catch us we have a number of gigs coming up so you'll have a chance. Coming up very quickly is a show on Wednesday at the Roxy with our friends All Possible Humans. We hit the stage at about 8:00pm so come out and support. We realize that the announcement comes in short notice so if you can't make it, come check us out at the Princeton Pub on Friday playing with Rhino and Far Beyond Driven (a Pantera Tribute band). We also have a free show coming up at Jolly Macs Pub in Surrey on May 5th. Rocking out with us will be Aeterna, Kymatica, and All Possible Humans. We are working on our Western Canada tour for July 2012, dates include Kelowna on July 9th, and Calgary on July 12th, if you've got any contacts for cities in the area to help us book some more shows, we would appreciate the help! Iron Kingdom on the road! - in Toronto \m/

We came, we saw, we conquered and we had a kickass time! On probably the best trip I've ever been on, myself and my brothers/sister in arms tore up the streets of Toronto spreading the word of true metal. The show at the Hard Rock Cafe marked our first appearance outside of the home province of B.C., and despite not having our marshalls and big ass drum kit I'd say we killed it. The people we met were awesome and left us with memories that will last a lifetime. Of course there was enough liquor flowing through out the weekend that I'm not sure I remember all of the haha!

Being from the province of Ontario myself, it was awesome to finally get to play a show for family and friends who due to distance had previously had to make due with the record.

Toronto is a pretty wicked city with lots to do including a bar that serves up a black metal brunch. How badass is that? On a different note, metal heads going to Toronto be warned that the HMVs have a far better metal section than here in Vancouver. As a band we walked out with about 40 CDs, a concert DVD and a vinyl record.

We have hit 200 'likes' on Facebook so those of you who have liked us thank you very much. For those of you who have stumbled onto us on myspace or YouTube be sure to wander over to our facebook and like us for updates on shows and other interesting news. www.facebook.com/ironkingdom

Toronto here we come!

Iron Kingdom flys out early Friday morning to spend a weekend wreaking havoc in Ontario's capitol. We play our first show outside of B.C. on Sunday March 25th at the Hard Rock Cafe for part of Canada Music Week, tickets are $15 at the door, show starts at 7pm. We are excited as hell to get out and spread word. I am originally from Ontario so I am incredibly excited to play for family and friends for the first time. Spring is just starting and already it's shaping up to be a good summer. We have a western Canada tour in the works for the beginning of July so watch for us around B.C and Alberta!

Our next show in Vancouver is at the Media Club on April 13th 2012! ..m/ We have advance tickets available now! Also you can listen to Chris' latest interview with Winnipeg's Malice Cooper! ..m/ http://..nightmareswithmalicecooper.podo..matic.com/entry/..2012-03-21T19_01_28-07_00
