Hanging your toes off the side of the Ryman stage is just sureal. The air in that auditorium is one unlike any other. I can't quite put my finger on any one reason, it's a combination of things. Sitting on the side of the stage you truly feel a presence of the greats that toe tapped upon it. The beauty of the church pews that stare back at you is calming. The lights, the backdrop, the color of the wood. The desire to stand behind the silent mike and belt out a song thats dear to your heart makes you want to pitch a tent and move right in. Blessings to those that had that opportunity for they are they Greats that keep me writing.
