Band Update

We are happy to say that original drummer, Chris Sharp is back in BrutalRise. We are still looking for a permanent bassist, so we can continue writing, recording, and playing shows. We do have a couple of possible big shows in the works and will have a stand-in bassist for these shows if they pan out. Stay tuned for more exciting BrutalRise news to come shortly.

Seeking new members

BrutalRise is now seeking a bassist and drummer. Please contact us if interested at brutalrise@comcast.net.

New drummer!!!

We are pleased to announce that after searching CT and MA for the last two and a half months, we have found BrutalRise's new drummer. Jeff Fancher, stood out over all those that tried out. It was a tough choice, as there were some good drummers out there. In the end it came down to two drummers, that were very close, but Jeff's style and personality just fit then band a little better. I want to thank all that tried out and submitted recordings. Best of luck to all of you.

We are now concentrating on having Jeff write new drum parts to our existing songs, to make them his own. Then we will finally finish up the EP we've been promising, and get out there soon to tear it up.

Thank you for your patience, and keep an eye out for updates on the progress.

We have a EP just about finished, and ready for new drum tracks ASAP. We also have some gigs lined up for the near future, if we can get a replacement quickly. We have a practice space/ recording studio in East Hartford, CT.

Metalympics Event 12 Quarter Finals

Hi all, Well last Friday's show went well. We had fun, and met/ saw some great bands and people. Snowzee's was a great venue.

Unfortunately BrutalRise did not advance to the Semifinal round, but congrats to A Wanted Awakening(Judge's Vote) and Seven Minute Stagger (Crowd Pick) for both advancing. Good luck to both of these great bands, although there can be only one winner, and there is some tough competition still left.

BrutalRise just fell short on the Judge's Vote with a respectful score of 9.11, taking a close second to A Wanted Awakening's 9.17. Nicely done guys! Then we took second once again with 17 votes, to Seven Minute Stagger's 37. LOL, not as close, but not bad considering we came from so far away.

Again, this was a fun experience, and we enjoyed every minute of it. We met some great people/ bands, some of which we are in the works for setting up additional shows with. That is what this whole thing is about, the music and networking.

A big thank you to Graham Russin for putting this whole thing together. He is keeping it alive, and we all owe him a big thank you. We hope to be part of this awesome event again next year.

New Lineup

Hi, Well it looks as though we have finally got the lineup locked down. After the bass auditions Jay Ward was the best man for the job. Jay has been working hard the last month plus, and has most of the material down already.

I personally am looking forward to playing with Jay live, as he brings a different bass style to the band, that seems to fit in well.

Come see Jay's first show with us at the next round of Metalymbics on 7/6/12. Check under our shows for more information. It should be fun, and should sound great from what we are seeing at practices.
