THE COFFEE CUP·MONDAY, MAY 2, 2016 What an amazing turnout last Saturday for Rockers with a Heart benefit for Brad Sumpter, who recently had open heart surgery. Family and friends packed the The Coffee Cup all through out the evening and enjoyed many bands playing a big variety of genres. Robin Standerfer kicked the event off at 5pm. Matt Wilson performed originals from his new CD, "My Way" which is available to listen to on Spotify, Rhapsody or IHeartRadio, and may be purchased from Amazon, iTunes, CDBaby or Google Play. We loved it when Cody Ritter, Brad's son, took his dad's spot in The Sumpter band. Backslider's Wine, Gatling & Hoffpauir and our own Devin Parham also performed, and even a few from the audience joined in and sang a song or two. To be able to use your passion in a tangible way to make a difference is a wonderful thing. 23 musicians came together and donated their time and money. You all are definitely "Rockers with a Heart."
