Hi there, Now that the ballots are out, if you are a Voting Member of NARAS, I would appreciate your consideration of my music in the 56th Grammy Awards process. I'm in the running for Best R&B Performance with "Waver" and Best R&B Album with "A Better Picture". Here's the link for the official music video for "Waver", by talented director, Ashley Denise:http://buff.ly/H1HK3m And here's the link to stream "A Better Picture": http://buff.ly/GZLp2P

Even if you're NOT a Voting Member of NARAS, I hope you'll purchase either or both as well, available on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, etc. Please enjoy the music, and share with your friends and family! Thanks, Kat.

Up and Coming!!!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much, everyone, for getting on board with me through my journey from an emerging jazz artist, to an established jazz artist! Every time I go to my page and see new fans that are vibing with what I'm creating, I can honestly say I'm blown away. That just never gets old and I'm sure it never will.

Being from Austin, TX, it's been an interesting experience getting acclimated to the fast pace of NYC and the amazing music scene. Here, the music scene is fueled off of an explosion of culture, food, people, and experiences, and the epicenter is Brooklyn, NY, the borough I call home. In Brooklyn, every other person is a musician, and it makes making it that much more difficult, but also that much more fulfilling when you succeed!

So come along with me! I promise I'll post as regularly as possible. Right now, I'm gearing up for my first solo performance at The National Underground in NYC's LES (Lower East Side). It's going to be a 30-40min set with 6-7 songs. The musicians are new except Joe Blaxx, who's amazing musical stylings can be found on my debut release, "An Old Soul". I hope those who can will come, those who can't will support (event info and ticket link is on my Facebook fanpage), and everyone is inspired to purchase "An Old Soul" once it's release May 17, 2011.

Thanks a million! Kat.
