Field Tripp to Austin! Field Tripp hits the road with decker. this March with stops in Flagstaff, Albuquerque, Amarillo, and Fort Worth on their way to play at the Lucky Lounge in Austin on Saturday, March 16th.
Field Tripp is excited to be included in the 7th Annual Gumption Fest in Sedona AZ. Last year was great, this year is going to be amazing. Over 50 bands from all over the southwest will be playing this free spirited and free of charge festival. Field Tripp will be kicking things off with Peachcake and Paul Chesne Band at Olde Sedona Bar on Friday, September 14th 2012.
About Gumption Fest:
GumptionFest is Sedona’s grassroots, community-organized festival that was started as a way for local artists, performers and businesses to get up the gumption to get together and celebrate as well as share their art, creativity and passion.
While Sedona is known as a tourist destination the world over, people live here, too. GumptionFest is the locals’ festival, but by no means is for it locals-only. Visitors, part-time residents and full-time residents are all welcome to attend and enjoy the largest free arts festival in Sedona. The musicians, artists, performers and poets are both amateur and professional, so you may see their work on a gallery wall, on a local bar stage, on a CD, or they may be the waiter or Jeep tour driver you met yesterday. For three days, they all come together at GumptionFest to celebrate what it means to live and work in Sedona.
It is most importantly an effort to help artists come together and support each other by way of inspiration, ideas, tools and much more. It helps create what we like to call an “artistic support system.” We therefore want to raise the bar for Sedona’s intake and output of creative expression and diverse understanding.
GumptionFest consists of friends, partners and volunteers working together cooperatively. It has relied on the help of many, to contribute the things we need to operate effectively each year.
Now in the seventh year, the festival expects to draw twice the crowd and participation and has made a place for itself as Sedona’s largest free community-run festival.
Through genuine friendships, care for our community and it’s well being and building new relationships with local organizations, businesses and residents; GumptionFest strives to connect artists and performers with venues to display or perform their work. It’s grassroots efforts, Website and other online social networks, are growing to support the myriad of opportunities that Sedona offers in the way of inter-connectedness and true community involvement in the arts.

Field Tripp's "The Wife & Kids" will be featured on the soundtrack for an upcoming independant feature film called PALACE LIVING. The film will be making its debut at film festivals this Fall. More info on PALACE LIVING at www.palaceliving.com/
Field Tripp will be playing during the 2pm - 3pm block at TMI's Phocella at Sail Inn. The show will be streamed on kwss.org. There will be 15 other bands between 12 - 4 and about 8 acts from 5 - 2am.

We regret to inform you that due to an overbooking mishap, the Field Tripp show schedule for tonight is canceled.
We do hope to see you again on September, 17th in Sedona for Gumptionfest.
We will be doing three sets at Carly's Bistro on Roosevelt Row in Downtown Phoenix for Third Friday on the 19th. Admission is FREE and it is an ALL AGES show. Come have some absinthe or a Sessions Lager and enjoy a Field Tripp.
