So glad to have the record out and to be playing shows in support of it! The next show is on July 27th at Underground Lounge in NYC. We won't be bringing the electric guitars, but it's going to be a great set. Hope to see you there! --Kevin
I'm not sure if anyone ever checks this page, but for those of you who do, the new record is done and we have a listening party planned for April 6, 2013 at J. Fallon's Tap Room in Floral Park, NY. We'll be doing one in the city, too, for those of you who don't like to venture too far out of your comfort zones. We'll have some shows coming up, too--so stay tuned! Best, Kevin
It's getting hot out there. But it's no cooler inside because my fingers are furiously at work on all things musical in nature. Lots of piano playing, guitar strumming, and bass slappa-poppin' (okay, that last one isn't true, but have you seen my blood blisters?).
The record is about to be mastered, we just have to figure out who's going to do it, and for how much.
In the meantime, I'm playing gigs like there's no tomorrow and havin' a helluva lotta fun doing it. If piano is your thang (or acoustic guitar), come down to Jake Austin's tomorrow at 5 p.m., where I'll be playing the best of all the music that I like.
I hope you are finding ways to stay cool, and "keep it loose" these days.
All the bizest,
Today I'm playing "sideman" for The Brothers Caldon, an acoustic rock duo consisting of one Terence Caldon and one Patrick Caldon. We're playing at J. Fallon's Tap Room, a lovely little "jernt" on Tulip Ave. in Floral Park, a stone's throw away from the LIRR platform.
We'll be playing the hits of yesterday and today while you imbibe, dance, sing, and talk over us.
So, hey; Sunday Funday!
Just posted two tunes ("Wellsprings" and "Traffic") to keep you sated until the record comes out--they're rough mixes, so don't hate, yo!
But on the real, I'll be playing some shows with The Brothers Caldon all throughout next month (check out my calendar), and I'm even planning my own show, so keep the ol' eyes and ears peeled and then I'll peel back your face with a live, molten-magma performance one of these days to double your pleasure!
The wheels keep a'rollin' and I will keep you updated with all the good stuff as it lands on my desk.
I'll be changing up the tunes every now and zen, so try not to get attached to any particular song too much; and if you do, make sure that you download it (quickly!). :)
Be well, my friends.
I've uploaded a couple of old tunes (one unreleased; one released). I hope you enjoy them. I figured I'd give y'all a break from the sonic bombast of the newer stuff. Keep listenin'; keep rockin'.
I posted some other tunes today. I hope you enjoy them. I hope you enjoy them on a complete record very soon, too. The wheel is rolling and it's gaining speed. Soon it will roll into a mp3 player/CD player/set of PC speakers near you.
I hope to see all of you soon; either at your shows, mine, or randomly (as a matter of happenstance).
Hey Fans, Friends, and Family,
Just wanted to say a quick "Hey, how's your stinkin' father?" and to let you know that I'll be putting up and taking down songs fairly often from this reverbnation.com site. They may be new songs, they may be old songs, they may be trite songs, and they may be true songs; all in all: songs.
I hope you enjoy them (the "new" songs, that is), but I really want you to enjoy them as a finished product sometime in the near future.
