All streams will be posted to the Facebook page the night of Quarantinepalooza, however since the stream is LIVE, the posts will be deleted the next morning, along with everyone’s comments. So if you want to hear live music, tune in during the event, otherwise you will miss the performance.

Jamboree for Ogdensburg Native Michelle Disotell

Michelle is a single mother and sole caregiver for her young daughter. She was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the blood. It develops in plasma cells, which are white blood cells in the bone marrow that help fight infection. In multiple myeloma, cancer cells build up in bone marrow and take over the healthy blood cells. With this condition, a group of plasma cells becomes cancerous and multiplies. These abnormal proteins can damage the bones, kidneys, immune system, and red blood cell count.

Michelle will undergo a stem cell transplantation, also referred to as a bone marrow transfusion. During this procedure unhealthy blood-forming cells are replaced with healthy cells. Afterwards she will be hospitalized for at least a month. Michelle is currently unable to work due to her illness. Monies raised will be used for medical expenses.

The jamboree will be held on Saturday, February 9 at Ghize’s Family Restaurant, 720 Main Street, Ogdensburg, NY. The jamboree will start at 1 pm with Live Music by The BackWater Blues Band. There will also be 50/50’s, raffles, and karaoke.
