BREAKDOWN - "What Sign's Above Your Door"

I was inspired to write this song due to my many experiences in the last 20 years in my ministry. I've seen a lot of people hurt by churches who choose to preach man's standards and call them God's. Judgment for us all will come from God and by His Word. This is such a simple concept, yet so many churches don't get this! Why? Egos. The thrill of the "holier than thou" living. It's human nature to get a buzz by putting someone else down. Unfortunately, too many churches have ran God's sheep right out of the stable and out into the wolves. It's time we stop glorifying man's created standards and start preaching the Word the way it was intended. Love your brothers and sisters and don't be a stumbling block.

Romans 14:13 Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this-- not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother's way.

BREAKDOWN - "The Wilderness"

SYNOPSIS: This instrumental tells the story of Jesus’s time in the wilderness where he was tempted of the Devil. Our Lord came out triumphantly as he denied Satan the ability to lure Him into his traps.

Matthew 4:1-11

1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred . 3 And when the temptercame to him, he said , If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said , It is written , Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word thatproceedeth out of the mouth of God. 5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and settethhim on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyselfdown: for it is written , He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up , lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said unto him, It iswritten again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into anexceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Thensaith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence , Satan: for it is written , Thou shalt worship the Lord thyGod, and him only shalt thou serve . 11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold , angels came and ministered unto him.

BREAKDOWN - "Coming Back To You"

SYNOPSIS

The Lord laid this song on my heart one Sunday morning a few weeks ago. As I began to frantically type out the words and get the beat going in my head, I could think on nothing else but His mercy and grace. God is ready to forgive, no matter what our circumstance is. Whether we just had a ‘small’ blunder in our daily life, or whether we just lose all focus on Him and find ourselves buried, once again, under the weight of the world. He is always there for us, ready to take us back...if we’ll just ‘come back’ to Him.

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES

Luke 15:11-32 (The Prodigal Son) 1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Hebrews 8:12

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

BREAKDOWN - "He Said"

SYNOPSIS

I wrote this song on the basis that we, as Christians, need to bank on the spoken Word of God. We do not need to fear tomorrow, for we know who is in control. Also, we need to know what is expected of us. God's Word does not go out in vain. There's a reason why...because it is truth.

I go to prepare a place for you. 3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." - KJV
