Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate / Blog

New single

http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/me-again-single/id530415496 Our new single "Me Again" is now up on iTunes. It's a much rockier take on type III Ehlers-Danlos syndrome than our first release, and was inspired by the comments of one of my friends 'I just want to wake up one day and be me again'. I had thought that the B-side "Can't Let You Go" was going to be a bonus track, but they seem to be charging separately for it. However, if you are on our mailing list (or would like to join it) at www.reverbnation.com/itsadequate, you can download "Can't Let You Go" for free. If you like the song, any sharing of the link, rating/reviewing on iTunes/Amazon/spotify, requesting on any radio shows etc would be enormously appreciated.

Best wishes, Malcolm

Nambucca

Thanks very much to Symtomatic@Nambucca for the invitation to play this weekend at one of North London's leading venues. This will be our first Saturday night gig at a major venue. If you are free and fancy coming along we'd be delighted. Malcolm on voice and guitar with special guest Rudy Roo (drummer of Fiddler's Elbow house band / Diamond Faith - stc). If you fancy coming, click that you are coming or maybe coming on the facebook page, or email me at hatsoffmail at gmail dot com, and I'll put you on the guest list (letting you get £5 tickets on the door, rather than £8 tickets). I'd also be grateful if you would like to share this event page. Best wishes, Malcolm

Wait For The Storm

I am delighted to be able to let you know that our debut single is now out on iTunes and Amazon. We are donating all royalties from online sales in 2012 to Save The Children and Ehlers-Danlos Support UK (split 50:50). The song is a melancholic acoustic thing. Kathryn has lots of flute in it. I'm singing, playing guitar, bass, keyboard, and did the drum programming and producing. It's a bit depressing (its about my dad's illness, and my own type III Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which causes me a lot of pain and dysfunction), but we are planning on releasing 'While I Still Can', a much more upbeat take on disability, next (either as a single, or as part of an EP). The track is 79p from iTunes

If you are a broadcaster and would be interested in playing the song, please do get in touch. Gigs I'm playing a 30 min solo set at the Comedy, near Leicester Square, London, on Tuesday 20 March. If you are interested there are more details in the events section of our facebook page www.fb.com/itsadequate or our reverbnation page www.reverbnation.com/itsadequate. Our next big charity event that we are organising is on Thursday 26 April at the Fiddler's Elbow, London. Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate and friends, 2 Tone Red, David Lunas, and other performers TBC. Tickets £5. It was pretty packed last time, so if you want to reserve a ticket, let me know. Marie Curie fundraiser

Thank you to everyone who supported our Marie Curie fundraiser last night. Thanks to Sam, Radhika, our guest bass and percussionists, 2 Tone Red, the photography group, and all those who came along to listen. We are very grateful to the Kiss The Sky bar for kindly allowing us to use this great space for the event, and to the staff for helping make the event such a success. We raised over £100 for Marie Curie cancer care.

Our next charity event will be our Save The Children fundraiser at the Fiddler's Elbow - http://www.facebook.com/events/294090683951230/

West Hampstead Street Party
