Nefesh at Russian House Aug 2nd! Last show till late fall

Am super excited about playing a Nefesh show to follow up our delightful and dance-filled debut at Central Market for all the beautiful young and young at heart. It feels like our sound is evolving in such new ways, and in some ways the feel familiar even as they are new, cause have been hearing clarinet in my head (will be the wonderful Ben Saffer) for so long, but first time we are having it on full event. We will also be joined by amazing tasty drummer Tom Van Schaik, giving us such a solid and textural groove. Rich P, who joined us at our last show, will part-take on trumpet in the second set, as will Benjamin Alany on dumbek... Will post footage hear, I promise...can't wait... :) Hope you have an amazing Friday, your friend in joy and music, Michelle

Viva Halloween and Farmer's Markets!

We are having a wonderful time gathering together again and working to put together fabulous new repertoire for you. We've added many special Balkan folk dance songs, fun classics and some brand new originals. For our next Austin show, we are even doin a couple Halloween-y classics ;) Nefesh is blossoming and having a blast pushing its own boundaries and exploring new flavors of Texas and Americana as well as its incredible collection of beautiful Balkan and Mediterranean songs.
