Getting there.

The past 2 months have been filled with extreme highs and lows. I have made some tough decisions which I now know were right. Unfortunately, someone in response hacked my YouTube account and deleted all of my videos. I am sorry there is no video content as of now but I am working on having some brand new and better stuff up soon. In addition, I have been in and out of the studio recording some new music which I am very excited about. Despite some minor setbacks, I can honestly say that I am happier than I've ever been. I am rediscovering myself and spending time where I know I belong. I've also met a girl who is absolutely perfect. I could not imagine a better person if I tried. December is fast approaching and is sure to bring some changes as I graduate. I hope you all will bear with me as I am booking gigs, recording new songs, and moving through life the best way I know how.

More shows!

Lately I've been super busy with a new job and continuing work with my internship. Although I have completed the internship, I will continue to do work for it. Go figure. I have some new shows coming up that I am very excited about. This Saturday I will be in Raleigh for the ComeUnity Now Music and Arts Festival. August 19th I will be performing with Neil Cribbs, a great artist from Atlanta, at The Green Bean in Greensboro, NC. August 27th I will be at Tabu Bar and Lounge in Salisbury for a back to school bash. And Sept. 3 you can see me at Maggie O'Riley's Irish Pub in Winston Salem, NC with Nick Driver.

I hope you can make it out to some of these shows! I really appreciate all of the support. After every show people are asking for cds and it reminds me why I do it. If you'd like a cd but can't make it to a show, just email me at blakleyleonard@gmail.com and we'll work something out!

Talk to you soon, Blakley

Work work work

So it's summer time and I'm currently working on writing new material and practicing for upcoming gigs. Be sure to check out the next one where I will have cd's for sale: Tosco Music Party at the Knights Theatre on June 18th in Charlotte. I have just moved to North Carolina for the summer from my home in Virginia to work an internship. I currently have a 4 song demo available (you can contact me if you would like one) with much more on the way. Balancing an unpaid internship, job searching, and supporting myself is proving a challenge but it will all pay off in the end. Thank you all so much for your support! Feedback is welcome and I will be working to record my new material as soon as I can. Thanks!

Upcoming Shows and New Recordings

Lately we've been super busy practicing and playing. We truly appreciate all of the support you have shown us as we move through this growing stage and build our following. Over the next two months we will be recording much more and plan to have a full length and finished EP available by the end of May! In the midst of all of this we are still booking gigs and playing as much as we can so please let us know if you know of any venues or events.

Thanks so much for your support, Blakley

Recording New Songs!

Eight hours of a day goes by fast when working on the production of new songs. My current song "Underneath this Sky" will soon be ready and released so stay posted to get a first listen! My producer and current roommate Andrew Bowers has been incredibly helpful in putting this demo together. "Underneath this Sky" will be the third song thus far following "Love is a Lie" and "In Your Arms". We (everyone involved on this end) truly appreciate your support and and feedback!
