Life is ever changing, I like to call it progression and others call it evolution. When scientist speak on evolution they are not discussing animals that became less adapted to their environment, no they are mentioning how animals and humans alike, worked towards a goal to adapt and be better than the next. That's what life should be like and at times it can feel as though I am at a standstill, while everyone around me is evolving themselves. But it is certain, that it is during the most challenging of times that we become more adapted and evolved for the greater goal ahead. It may appear as as though I am standing still, I am ever evolving! You should be too, not just because it's a new year, but because it gets you one step closer to your goals. Today I went to the Art Museum in Indianapolis, Indiana. I must say there are some beautiful works of art here. There were some beautiful and endearing pieces of art that took hours of tear and sweat to create and then there was the art, that you really had to question. Contemporary art is more like the questioned stuff and sometimes I'm not sure if I consider it art completely. I feel like I can draw a few lines and call it art too.
At the end of the day, I look deep inside myself and remember that the artist was inspired by something the day they drew those lines and squares and splatted paint. They liked it and felt comfortable with sharing it with the public. That's how I feel about my music. Some may say that it's not what they like, but at the end of the day it is something that I have to be happy with and have the courage to share it with you. I shared all this to say, Art is in the eye of the beholder...my music, my art, my eye

Today I was in the studio and was willing to learn. Someone told me that I always seem to be willing to learn. Well my mission is life is to be a life long learner. How can we progress and mature if we are not willing to learn? Always find time to learn, weather its simple or complex, its never too late for growth!

Art is in the eye of the beholder
