The Story Behind The Song - "Best Of Life"

This is really new to me so forgive, this 1st attempt! I'll set the scene, 1st week in Los Angeles for the band, a nightmare! pre-production rehearsals in Hollywood, with Ron Nevison, fourth day, Ron had to leave at 6.00pm for a meeting with Jeff Bova, to work on the track, "Shifting Moon" 20 minutes after Ron left, the guys told me they were tired, they had been there since 10.00am in the morning. However, Ron phoned me at 8.00pm that night to ask how the guys had done, as a salesman to trade, I could have easily sold him the 'everything's fine' option, or told him the truth, that they gave up 20 minutes after Elvis had left the building. I chose option 2, Ron was furious, rightly so, they came all the way from Scotland to waste his valuable time. Anyway, Shawn our bass player, went to bed at 10.00pm, but the rest of the guys stayed up all night, they worked on the arrangement for "War Zone", their main task, & Gregor wrote a new song, "Best Of Life", a great up tempo track with a total positive vibe, it was actually written overnight, as an apology to Ron, for skiving class (skipping school) not only did Gregor write the song, but Ben & Chris adopted Ron's arrangement formula, of how they thought Ron would have perceived the finished article. The band weren't due in rehearsals till 12.00pm that day, I had them there at the rehearsal studios at 9.00am sharp, & when Ron appeared at 12.00pm, I asked him before he said anything, checkout this song, Ron replied, it will probably have to do! made slight adjustments & it was recorded as an album track. Truly the story behind the song! Duggie
