So we will be welcoming a new drummer yet again next Friday at Cairo. Jorge Flores will be sitting behind the trap set next Friday and possibly, hopefully, for quite a while! Thanks to Jimmy Ray for sitting in with us at The Horseshoe on September 9th. The musicians may change, but the music will still be great.

So we have slightly altered our name in order to, hopefully, increase familiarity. Instead of The Velikovsky Affair we are now going by simply, Velikovsky. Basically, we've decided to end the affair and just stick to business. Our line up has slightly changed as well. Come out to our next show, Friday, May 27, 2011 at Goose Island Wrigleyville to see us in our newest and fittest form.

TheVelAff would like to thank Tom Owen for getting us on our feet! Tom is an amazing drummer and has helped us out immensely. We would not have been able to get started without his presence behind the trap set. Tom will be around to help us out with shows in the future, but TheVelAff would now like to welcome Justin Laramie to the position of drummer extraordinaire!

Slight Name Alteration
