A New Thing

A New Thing 5-17-14

Isa.43:19 “Behold I shall do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

With God, all things are possible! He is not limited in the resources available to Him. When he wants to bless you and meet your needs, He has the means!

Jesus is our way in the wilderness! He is our road to the mercy seat of The Father! He is our River of Life, filling all the dry places in our parched souls! Don't give up on Him, He has not forgotten you! Your sins are not bigger than his grace. The Lamb Of God has already taken away your sins! The cross worked! You are forgiven! Do you believe it?

You will find strength, where you never expected to find it. You will find the ability to forgive people, when they have broken your heart. You will find unexpected provision when your reserves have been exhausted.

Don't look to the same old solutions that you have relied on in the past, look to your Heavenly Father: through Jesus, he has provided for you.

Don't forget that you are still here, and still in the race! He has brought you through fire and flood, time and time again. In good times and hard times, he has been standing with you, whether you have realized it or not.

In this world, and in the next, God is wanting to be the new thing in your life. He wants to make you into something new. He is working in you; to change you on the inside, and to make you willing and able to do the things that please him, and to be a blessing to those around you.

Rev. 21:5,6 “ and He who sat on the throne said, Behold I make all things new.” And He said unto me, write: for these words are true and faithful. And He said unto me, It is done, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him who is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

God bless you, as you continue trusting in His grace!

Ruled by Love

Ruled From Within, Ruled By Love

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

2Co 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; 2Co 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. 2Co 3:7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: 2Co 3:8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather[more] glorious? 2Co 3:9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

When a person is born again, The old sinful person dies, and a new creature is born into the family of God, and now becomes a temple of the Holy Spirit; God is that Spirit, and God is love. Our behavior begins to change as a result of the new resurrection life that God has infused us with. The true Christian walk is one that is initiated and directed by the Spirit of Christ who lives within us. We are not called to 'work for God', we are called to yield to God, and to allow him to be our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and our redemption. Our goal and our purpose as Christians, is to be willing participants in his plan to unconditionally love the world, that is, the people in our world. We are to be ruled and influenced by the Spirit of truth and the love of God, who has made us His dwelling place. It's not our job to point out peoples sins and shortcomings, our job is to point people to Jesus, and HE will make the necessary changes in them! Rules, regulations, commandments, and laws can only shape our behavior through guilt, fear and coercion, while the Spirit of God rules us through the influence of unconditional love. We love him, because he first loved us', and we seek to conform to his will as a result of our gratitude to him, for all that he has done for us. Law gives strength to sin and increases it's hold on us whereas, grace forgives us and empowers us to overcome sin. The law, written and engraved in stones (particularly the ten commandments), is referred to as 'the ministration of death' and the 'ministration of condemnation' (2Cor.3:5-9). The law is pure, and it is an expression of how God's holiness should be reflected in our behavior, but without the grace of God to enable us, we are incapable of meeting his perfect standard. Thank God, the sin problem was settled at the cross of Calvary! Jesus paid our sin-debt so completely, that all who believe in Him are declared righteous! God's forgiveness is unconditional and unlimited! Unbelief, and reliance on your own good works will rob you of the wonderful benefits of his freely given grace! Self-effort will only take you so far, but love never fails! By keeping your eyes on Jesus and developing an intimate relationship with him, through meditation on his word and by talking to him throughout the day, your priorities will change, and your desire will be to do things his way; You will walk in his will intuitively, as a result of his grace which works in you. You were created to walk in love, and be ruled by God's unconditional love, which resides in your heart; after all, God is love!

Help For Our Unbelief

Help for our unbelief ! 1-15-09

Mar 9:23 And Jesus said to him, "'If you can, All things are possible for one who believes." Mar 9:24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, "I believe; help my unbelief!" Mar 9:25 And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, "You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again." [ESV]

Jesus himself, supplies us with faith in order to receive what we need from him! In this account, we see a desperate father who has a small mustard seed of faith in the ability and compassion of Jesus, but that tiny bit of faith is buried underneath a mountain of doubt. Jesus told him “all things are possible for one who believes”, thereby providing him with hope and reassurance. Thank God for his grace whereby he supplies that which we lack! If we will learn to trust in his love and grace, there is nothing impossible to us! Grace can't be earned or deserved, (otherwise it wouldn't be grace !). We can count on Jesus! We can expect him to supply what we lack, because he loves us and wants the best for all people; even when we don't think we deserve it. Our Heavenly father has both the power and the willingness to help us. He has provided all that we need through His son Jesus Christ. Forgiveness, peace of mind, healing, wisdom- there is no shortage of any good thing in the economy of heaven! 2Pe 1:3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, [ESV] 'Knowledge of Him' is the key that unlocks all the riches in God's storehouse! All that the Father has, is made available to us through his son Jesus. The good news is that He will supply faith to whosoever will reach out to him and accept his abundant grace. A new life is available to you ! His love will re-make you and re-create you in his image and likeness.

“...While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Rom. 5:8 God has dealt with the sin issue once and for all at the cross of Christ! Sin is no longer an obstacle to receiving from God! Those who will trust his grace and look to Him, can be made whole and have their prayers answered; those who refuse His help, and rely on their own efforts, are doomed to a life of limitation, hopelessness, and empty regrets. I know that this is true, because I wasted too many years, going my own way and trying to find peace, using my own self- destructive methods: Than one day I stopped running and let Jesus call the shots. He's not my co-pilot, he's my savior and Lord! Praise God!, he restores to us the lost and wasted years, and puts our feet on his good road of holiness through grace, by the faith which He provides. The born again child of God is free from the law of sin and death; he need not carry the guilt and remorse of his sins and shortcomings. The punishment that we deserve, was poured out on Jesus when he died in our place on the cross. He has given us his divine life in exchange for our fallen, sorry mess! There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus! Let's go to our heavenly Father with trust, and ask him to 'help our unbelief'. Let his grace supply all that we lack. Let him grow big inside us and spill out into the lost world that surrounds us!

Restoration Power

Job:14:7- 9 “For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud and bring forth boughs like a plant.”

Our God is a mighty God! 'He is mighty to save' He is the repairer of the Breach, and he restores to us straight paths to walk on and gives a new start to all who have reached the end of the road and the end of all hope.. He makes the crooked places straight and smooths out the rough places for anyone who will follow him . He seeks out the lost sheep and brings it back to fellowship; He lights his lamp and He seeks for the lost coins throughout the dark corners of the earth. There is no pit so deep that He can't find you and pull you out of it. There is no dungeon so dark that He can't see you and hear your prayers. Where sin abounds, Grace abounds even more! His mercy endureth forever! The sickest body is not beyond the reach of God's healing power! Jehovah Jireh is on the job. The diseased and depraved mind can be healed and restored by the washing of the water of His word, the cleansing power of The Blood Of Jesus, and the regenerating power of his Holy Spirit. His mercies are new every morning, and His his manna is our daily bread. He brings us water from the rock, and his rivers reach the driest and most remote wilderness. His living Water flows down from His throne and refreshes all who have need of restoration and renewal. The dry and lifeless root will shoot forth green branches at the touch of The River of Life! The desert will blossom and bloom at the touch of his grace. His mercy has laid all our sins upon the Lamb Of God who died at Calvary, and made his forgiveness available to all who have sinned and come short of his glory. His abundant life is our inheritance through the power of His resurrection, which is at work in his people today. Don't give up hope! No matter how dark the hour is. And no matter how depressed or condemned you may feel, no matter how badly you have failed, God's love is able to restore and heal you. His grace is free to all! Abundant life is God's free gift to all who will receive Him (no exceptions)! There is no one who is beyond the reach of God's love, and there is no problem or condition that He cannot heal; there is no shame or sin that He has not removed and forgiven at Calvary . There is no limit to his grace and mercy! Anyone who tries to tell you there are exceptions and conditions that limit God's reach, or that his grace and forgiveness can be somehow earned or deserved, is a liar and a deceiver. The new covenant that was ratified by Jesus' blood is the result of God's love for his creation and was initiated by Him alone. We are the beneficiaries of an incredible life that we will never deserve, but it is nonetheless freely offered in the person of Jesus Christ. God's eternal salvation and his unlimited grace are for all time and for all people. His grace does not stop after the new birth! We don't use up our share of god's mercy when we are Born Again! We continue in his grace, and are not disqualified by our failures and breaches of the law. We are now under the perfect law of liberty. And we are freely forgiven by the precious blood of Jesus, our eternal sacrifice for sin. Nothing can separate us from the love of God!
