Fade II Grey / Blog

More Grey

Been a while since we added a new blog and with summer approaching, there's no better time than to share the latest happenings. There is definitely more 'grey' in our hair but that hasn't diminished our excitement about playing. As we typically do, we took some time off during the Holidays to refresh and work on some new material for this year. Of course, when we say 'new', we mean new to us since we are a cover band. What's always fun as a three piece acoustic band is to take great classic tunes and make them our own with limited instrumentation. We enjoy playing these songs and giving them that Fade II Grey twist. So what's new for this year? Besides lots of great music, we are always looking to be more progressive with our sound. Vocally, we are a strong as ever but what else can we do to move forward? While we have always considered ourselves to be an acoustic band, don't be surprised if you see a little more electricity show up soon. We'll just leave it at that since the possibilities could be endless. As for the schedule of shows this summer, everything is pending but you can expect to see us for sure at Chubby Ray's and Woodhaven Country Club, two venues that have always been great to us. Of course, we will be looking to expand to other locations as the summer progresses. We are so appreciative of all who visit us in person and on our social media pages. Please keep coming back and we will keep looking for more ways to keep it exciting for everyone.

Ray and Joe

After a few months off, the band is back and playing better than ever. After a great show for an awesome crowd at Chubby Ray's on Saturday night, we are looking forward to a big night at Bungalow Joe's on Saturday, March 9. The time off allowed us to work up some more of our favorite tunes. As always, there are a few surprises in our set lists so no two shows are ever the same. Without a doubt, we are having more fun playing than ever. We hope to see you at one of our shows soon. Make sure to become a fan, 'like' us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter.
