Lewis Hamilton Music announces the release of Lewis Hamilton’s new album Ghost Train, available from the start of August 2013. While following the broad blues rock framework of his previous albums, Gambling Machine and Empty Roads, Ghost Train includes a wider range of influences. The album reflects the growing confidence and continued song writing development of the 19-year-old singer and guitarist, who this year was nominated as young artist in the British Blues Awards.

For the third year running, Lewis has been nominated for a major music award. He won the Best Blues Recording category at the 2012 SNMA for Gambling Machine, and now ‘Candlelight and Sympathy’ from his highly acclaimed second album ‘Empty Roads’ has been nominated by Jimmy Carlyle (BBC Shetland) for Best Song in the prestigious British Blues Awards. The song was also chosen to be on the soundtrack of the forthcoming movie ‘Scar Tissue’ to be released this spring. The voting process is very simple -http://www.britishbluesawards.co.uk/rumshack

Ok folks - this will be a BLAST, and a litmus test for both the venue and the potential for a regular ticketed joint events partnering local/out of town artists. After Jock's Juke Joint Vol 3 is released in early May, there will be around 50 artists with demos in the public domain, so plenty of home-grown talent to chose from. Let's hope that they too can get some public support to regenerate what used to be a very healthy music scene in years gone by.

Unfortunately Aynsley lost his voice just prior to the event, but rather than cancel, asked supporting artist Lewis to step up to the mic for a few songs. At the end of the evening Aynsley suggested Lewis picked up his guitar and a mighty jam followed ...
