BLACK FAMILY / Blog

my press book

Black Family is emerging as one of Senegal's hottest new groups bringing their explosive talent to numerous venues around Dakar. Their unique and original sound is all about African development and based on AFRO Reggae, Hip-Hop and Soul music. All their songs are a mixture of African languages including some English and French for international audiences. Black Family was originally formed in 2006 by Father MG, Master K and Med-Bi and released their first single Mick O Phone in November. This was followed by Mama Guinee (November 2007) a tribute to Guinea Conakry which describes the groups longing for their home country. The current artists are Father MG (Mohamed Djbril Bah) originally from Saran Pamme/Pita, Guinea; Tiz B Flow (Tijan Bah) formerly of Esprit Ghetto Dakar, Senegal joined the group in 2010; Master K (Kalydou Diallo) from the Casamance region of Senegal. Their first Album Kesoun is due to be released in 2013 and will contain 10 songs including Mama Guinee, Mr Presi, Freedom Guinee Conakry and Men Fo Li (we have won) as well as some new songs. Black Family is a collaborative group and can be contacted by email at blackfamilyofficiel@gmail.com and on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/gbrilbah
